I think there is much less sense here in Australia of wearing things for a particular occasion. No "holiday dressing" or Easter outfits. Extends to house decorations too. Christmas will bring out the decorations but practically nothing else.<br /> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-easter-sunday#post-894898 Mon, 01 Apr 2013 06:26:27 +0000 Deborah 894898@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Just wanted to say thank you for your kind words.<br /><br />Angie your comment re non-traditional easter outfit was quite thought provoking. &nbsp;One of the things I have noticed on YLF, and also from a friend who travels to work in the US, is that the US seems to be more conservative, with perhaps more guidelines on what is appropriate for any given occasion. &nbsp;I think this can vary depending on what part of the States people are from too. &nbsp;I am not suggesting the US contingent here is conservative, it's just something that comes across more in the conversations about what to wear when etc. and also from the fact that my friend has an Aussie wardrobe and a US wardrobe:)<br /><br />I think in Australia (Aussie girls correct me if I am wrong) we may be a little more relaxed. &nbsp;I know I am particular about weddings and funerals but any other event is fair game for my styling adventures &nbsp;Having said that I would never not consider the event, host, etc as my intention would never be to offend anyone by my presentation.<br /><br />Spiffy, my church is very conservative:) &nbsp;I think that might be why the camos received the attention they did lol. &nbsp;I come from a much less conservative church background where this outfit probably wouldn't have been noticed in particular.<br /><br />Beth Ann your service sounds wonderful and how lovely to sit with your DH. &nbsp;I didn't:) &nbsp;But as you know from experience you get used to it. We had a great church service this morning and DH was thrilled. He is responsible for much of the creative aspects at church and put together a very thought provoking and meaningful service. The three of us then went out to a fave place for lunch and then visited my MIL who in hospital again. My skinny camos received some attention today with my friend's hubby asking I was going to be posting them and another friend commenting that I wore them well:) So this is what I wore today. Black slouchy jacket, black top with silver beading and skinny camo pants. Wedge heeled suede pumps and earring I bought yesterday at the big Easter Fair we each year. I have realised recently that I quite enjoy a touch of whimsy through my jewellery. Thanks for looking. xxx Deborah
