I will always have black boots (mainly because they are so easy to find in any style and heel height) but white boots are now essentials for me.</p> <p>Carla - I have been thinking my style moniker based on a ‘Hitchcock Heroine’ was not quite right, maybe Modern Femme is the new style moniker for me, as it embraces a more casual aesthetic.</p> <p>Kaelyn - I’m very lucky that we are gradually emerging out of lockdown, today was the first day I could attend an exercise class for 20 people maintaining social distancing. </p> <p>Suntiger - I do seem to rediscover pieces from time to time. Previously I did not have a light jacket to wear with it and wore navy jackets, which felt too dark for my current style. The pink is a much happier colour.</p> <p>Joy - sorry to hear that lockdown is so strict where you live. I hope you are keeping in touch with loved ones via technology. Stay safe and well. My area, is also way behind you in any sort of normal. DS and most will be working from home for at least the rest of 2020. Very few students will be returning to classrooms in the fall. Today’s outfit is mainly older pieces: a dress 4 years old, bomber from 2019 and navy boots from 2018 worn with a new cross body bag that is my constant companion on my long walks to count my steps on my iPhone.</p> <p>I have been out and about a little more this week as our social distancing restrictions are being eased. To a routine doctors appointment (mammogram, ouch!) but also more fun, to support some of my local retailers and walks or catch up with a small circle of friends. We are experiencing cooler temps as we approach our winter solstice.</p> <p>When I bought this dress (online from the US at a deep discount) I was disappointed after trying it on. It just did not look how I imagined it would. I have to remind myself that how things look on willowy models is not how they will look like me, one of the perils of online shopping without the opportunity of returns. I have worn it, but never loved it. Putting it on today, I like it more now than before and appreciate it more because it is well made, comfy, washes up well and just easy to wear. I 'saved' it because it was too good to wear at home, so that is now changing with this working from home which for me will continue for at least another 4 weeks. I can see me wearing it more now than ever before.&nbsp;</p> <p>Covid is making me ‘shop my closet’ which is such a good thing as I rediscover items in my wardrobe that perhaps are working better for me now than ever before, being a bit nicer than my former casual clothing.</p>
