Or even my black straight legs with booties. I like Inge's suggestion of different colored boots too... I had thought about my burgundy Docs but the shorter shaft height didn't seem to work too well - the problem is that these skinnies are a bit too short so they don't scrunch. Unfortunately I can't seem to find her post right now though.</p> <p>Anyway, here is my take on it. I like this but I don't love it. I think I prefer Astrid's version. I'm not sure what it is about mine that seems a little off - maybe the jeans are too blue, or the dress too complicated, or the boots too short (I actually wanted to wear my black suede boots, which are taller, but they are out of commission until I find time to take them to the cobbler). What do you think?</p> <p>By the way, I really only wore the beret outdoors with my coat (it's too warm for indoors) but I liked the look with the outfit so I took a photo anyway. </p> <p>ETA: I had no idea that either the dress challenge or the scarf challenge was happening today, but this outfit works for both!</p> <p>Bailey 44 dress, Vince skinnies, Frye boots, handknit scarf and beret, MZ Wallace bag. </p>
