Thank you, Raisin! I've learned to appreciate this dress even more this week. When I first bought it I thought it was a bit boring, actually (I bought it on sale in San Diego last summer). Now I realize that it is such a good shape on me, and a wardrobe workhorse, too.

Aida, I'm honored hearing that from the queen of wardrobe mixing:) I agree, the leather jacket is very nice with this dress, and I've worn it with ordinary ties, the jacket and my leopard scarf earlier. That was a good version, too.

Kiwichik, thank you so much! It is so nice of you to say that.

Both look great! You are doing a really nice job with this wrap dress challenge. I think the way you hid the ties is a fab idea; it really changes up the look of the dress. Quite like #2, and would also like it with the normal wrap belt; the mix of tough leather jacket + soft boho dress would be wonderful.

I missed your first posts on this dress so I went back and looked at all of them. I think you did a fabulous job of styling this wrap dress and I believe I just might have to try and find one. I never realized they could be so versatile...thanks for sharing!

Ingunn, I love both stylings and can see why your happiness factor is high in both. I love the touch of color, with the cardigan, in 1 and your brown tights, bomber, belt and boots create a beautiful look in 2. Yes, definitely, repeat!!

Thank you, nancylee! Of course I don't mind telling you how I make the collages. I use Picasa for that. It's a free image editor from Google, very easy to use IMHO. I'll give you a couple of links to tutorials and where to get it.
Picasa download: http://picasa.google.com

If you want, I can post a few screenshots tomorrow of how I use it myself. I am off to meet a friend now - in frigid temperatures. Brrr!

This is an amazing challenge, Ingunn, and you've pulled it off brilliantly! I really admire your effort to wear the clothes you have...something I want to do more of this year.

I also love how you make a pretty collage of your photos. Do you mind telling me how you do this? I have a MacBook and am slightly tech challenged...but willing to learn new techniques!

Dear all,

Here is what I wore/am wearing today. Two different looks based on the same dress, one for work/daytime and one for evening/going out with a friend.

#1:
Friday daytime: Home office
Weather: 4-C, cloudy
Notes: I really wanted a different silhouette today, so I layered with a cropped cardigan in a wool/cotton mix. For additional warmth, I wear a camisole in wool under my dress plus a slip. The ties are wrapped around my waist to hide them. I adorned the cardigan with a grey and pink flower pin for interest. Black wool tights and black pumps. The shoes are very comfy as home shoes with the low heels. The stitching and the bow bring some detailing to the lower part of this outfit, which is very plain. I love this cardigan with its happy color!
Happiness factor: High
I felt really good wearing this while planning for next week in my home office. I also went out for a few errands, wearing the blue puffer and flat black boots.

#2:
Friday night: Meeting a friend for a few drinks
Weather: -6C, dark and cold!
Notes: I realized that it looked fine with a striped elasticated belt in red, black and brown over the ties. I paired the dress with my dark red bag and a black bomber style leather jacket. Brown tights were used to create an unbroken line with the booties and to pick up the brown in the belt. Layered this with my plaid coat and a huge, woolen scarf for warmth. Barely enough, but okay for jumping in and out of buses/trains and houses. I feel okay in the scarf, but in the photos it looks a bit like a bib! Not good.
Happiness factor: Very high! I will definitely be repeating this.

I'm back on track today, and still love my black wrap dress. I'm very curious to hear your views on how I've altered the dress by hiding the ties. Any comments are welcome as always. Thanks for looking, and for being so patient with me and this little project of mine!
