The cut is cigarette mid-rise, so from the knees down they are not straight. When I know I'll be sitting most of the day, I do not wear true skinnies, as I can feel the pressure on my knees and calves, sort of cutting circulation, even if they are stretchy. These are comfy but yes, they do look a bit too roomy around the boot. On the other hand (or leg) they hide the gap between my skinny calf and the boot. Compromises, compromises. Did you size way up in those jeans? The ones I tried on at Urban Outfitters -- admittedly quite a while ago -- were so soft and stretchy that they didn't look good on me sized up -- I just got elephant skin wrinkles, not a good look. It may be because my thighs are full, though.
