The fabric is quite light and has some stretch. I have always liked denim skirts and lamented that they seemed to go out of fashion. They feel like a classic piece to me, like jeans. I also love that Carine Roitfeld wears them so well, as I really admire her style. </p> <p>I decided I wanted to add a denim skirt to my wardrobe late last year, but there were none in any of the stores. Then all of a sudden, they arrived. I ended up buying 3, 2 plain pencil style and 1 slim fitted with buttons down the front.</p> <p>Today I'm wearing the lighter pencil style. I bought it from Cotton On. I bought the same style in a very dark denim, almost midnight blue.</p> <p>The top is from Motto. It's coated jersey to look like suede. I picked it up from Ebay.</p> <p>My booties are Gino Ventori. They have cut-outs in the leather, which makes them OK for the heat. It's really hot here! </p> <p>The bag is Oroton.</p> <p>I also added a pic of Carine in her denim. :)</p> </p>
