I'm glad there is no such thing as too much curve. I'm somehow getting used to my body over again. Hair... pregnancy gave me the thickest, shiniest hair ever! (I was told while pregnant you don't shed hair) Postpartum...a journey for sure! I lost a lot of hair after I stopped breastfeeding at 4 months. It felt like handfuls. You can see thin spots in my bus pass photo, and I had almost bald spots in a couple places. I think kost of it has grown back now, thnakfully. But my curls used to be much tighter ringlets, and they haven't quite gone back to that. Such is life!</p> <p>Taylor, thank you My curls are less curly now thana couple years ago, hormones have changed them. Nicer things: i want to wear them so badly! But then I would feel awkward about wearing my nicer things to scrub the bathroom and wash dishes--what if I ruin them. Silly perhaps?? So I just pulled out what I had, and keeping Sensual Romantic in mind, made an outfit. </p> <p>Top: thrifted BR striped grey Henley<br /> Sweater: HM, acrylic and ancient yet still comfortable (definitely my sickie sweater when not feeling well!)<br /> Leggings: Costco<br /> Belt: Old Navy, faux patent leather, and purchased many years ago<br /> No shoes, as I’m indoors and wear thick warm socks. </p> <p>Makeup: a downward applied eyeliner and simple eyeshadow. Paired with blue-based shimmery fuschia lipgloss. (WNW Berried Treasure for inquiring lips ) pinned my hair in a slightly 1940s look. </p> <p>Things I love:<br /> Waist definition. I shy away from it sometimes because I wonder if it makes my hips look too curvy. (Is there such a thing as to curvy??) Is it just me? Or maybe an hourglass thing?? Yet, no waist definition makes me look like a block, or even a cone on top of a taller cone if I wear a flowy blouse with leggings. So, I am reacquainting myself with my waist.<br /> Color. The bright yellow just felt fun and refreshing in the middle of winter. And I love it paired with grey, and even more so with navy! In fact, I think navy is going to be on my list for spring/summer. </p> <p>Things I’m unsure of or don’t love:<br /> Hair. Oddly enough it feels indifferent to me. But I wanted more than a ponytail. I really, truly need a haircut, and I think that’s part of my indifference. My hair is so different since having my son. I’m almost tempted to take the extra time to start using rollers for better curls and more volume. But a haircut first. </p> <p>What this outfit tells me most is I need to figure out my closet. I need a few more basics. And/or else need to wear my nicer things and statement pieces everyday. Will post separately about this but definitely would love some feedback. </p>
