Esperanza is amazingly talented and her stage persona is utterly charming. I think my husband has a huge crush on her now. She sang and played stand-up bass and electric bass, accompanied by a 10-piece jazz band. Every single one of the performers was amazing, but she commanded the stage. </p> <p>We had 2nd-row center seats so we could see her perfectly. She looked girlishly fabulous in a knee-length black and gray dress with a fitted high necked bodice and a circle skirt. The fabric of the dress looked like it was printed from a giant black and white photo of a pair of white swans. Hard to describe, but really lovely on her and suited her quirky personality. I've been searching unsuccessfully for a good photo of her in the dress, or of just the dress. She wore flat ribbon-laced gray oxfords, and her only accessories were a sparkly oversized neckpiece in the shape of a Peter Pan collar and her amazing wild hair. Glad I got up the courage to post pics of myself for the first time! </p> <p>Jayne, I have the same shoes in brown and those are a little pinchy at the toes but not too bad. They were otherwise comfortable so I ordered the tan pair in wide width even though I don't usually need a wide shoe. That solved the pinching completely, and the adjustable strap means they stay on my feet despite the extra width. They're as comfy as heels get for me! I also added a nonslip outsole because the soles were so slippery I could barely stay upright the first time I wore them. I decided later that they contrast too much with the dark jeans, but by then it was too late to change. I have the same shoes in dark brown, and I have fuchsia ballet flats that could pick up the pink dots in the top. Might either of those work better?
