After Thursday's closet challenge, where I was more dressed up than I usually opt for, I felt the desire to revert to my more extra-casual self.</p> <p>Scored this really cool vintage 70's beat-up leather jacket at the thrift store recently for $35. I'm a fan of 70's leather because so many of the styles were more cropped and somewhat fitted, which I think works better on my small/short frame. I especially loved the warm brown/tan color and&nbsp;the cool zippers on the sleeves that run all the way up the arm of the jacket (and I got a kick out of the vintage label in it that says "Made exclusively for the Clothes Horse", Coral Gables, FL).</p> <p>Decided to go "Full on Fauna" with my jewelry as well (and provided some detail shots since none of the jewelry is large in style). The beetle necklace is actually a real beetle encased in lucite&nbsp;(interestingly enough, identical to one of the beetle types on the sneakers) that my boyfriend randomly surprised me with several years ago (the guy really knows my quirky tastes!) I get a kick out of it because whatever is in the lucite is designed so&nbsp;it actually glows in the dark!</p> <p>So what do you think of my first styling of the creepy-cool beetle kicks?</p> <p><b>Jacket:</b> Vintage (thrifted)<br /><b>Navy blue &amp; Blue/Green striped t-shirt</b> (Splendid via thrift store)<br /><b>Jeans: </b>AG Stilt roll up (via ebay)<br /><b>Sneakers: </b>Tory Burch (via ebay)<br /><b>Bag: </b>Vintage cigarette wrapper purse (the purse was made in the 60's by prisoners for their girlfriends/wives). It is actually entirely made from woven Camel cigarette box wrappers that are woven using different parts to create a cool pattern. I acquired it and a bunch of other ones as part of an estate buyout I did many years ago when I was still in the vintage clothing business.<br /><b>Brass bird cutout earrings:</b> Can't remember the brand but bought them on Gilt back when they first launched.<br /><b>Bronze Frog holding onyx ball&nbsp;ring</b> (vintage via Flea Market)<br /><b>Belt:</b> Vintage (via thrift store)</p> <p> </p>
