I'm a perfectionist and my worst critic, and I need to learn to let it go--otherwise it gets difficult!</p> <p>Lisa, yes, I did tuck in the pants into my socks--a trick I learned here in another thread (perhaps it was even you who suggested it?...) But I found that a bit uncomfortable in the zipper area near my ankle bones. I'm very bony and so anything pressing or poking feels uncomfortable. Up close there are some folds and a little bit of bunching, especially where the pants meet the boots. I smoothed out some of it by tucking the pants inside my socks (trick learned here) but it wasn't super comfortable!</p> <p>It's funny, I remember when the tucked-in look started to make a comeback--before skinnies were everywhere--and people had all sorts of tricks for folding the hems of bootcuts just so to fit inside boots. Part of me wishes I had worn my vanilla perfume with this (but the other part has censored the fragrance). </p> <p>Re: the pants. I have a hard time with these. They are GAP "ever straight" or whatever that's called. That is, they are straight but not skinny. I ordered online and didn't super love the fit but loved the color. Because they're not skinny they are hard to tuck into boots. There's a bit of extra fabric around the thighs that kills the slimming effect of true skinnies. And it is so hard to choose the right footwear--they don't look right with ankle booties or flats. </p> <p>Still, until I find a new suitable pair of cream skinny cords, I'll keep them. </p>
