Ginger and I thank you. Ummlila, I'm still in need of warm sweaters today. Since I have no control over the weather, just trying to make the best of it. Ginger loves to get dressed up, just like me. My Bailey didn't love coats as much as Ginger but he played along to make me happy. Chris987, I have a few cardigans that I've not worn in ages and I'm trying to figure out how to wear them without feeling frumpy. Pinterest is giving me some ideas. One is to wear the cardigan as a shirt by buttoning it all the way up. Angie, you are making me blush. I wish I saw what you see, but I will take the compliments none the less. My hair is still a work in progress. Diane G, the animal print booties are my favorite and I receive compliments every time I wear them. Sheila, both green items are very nice quality. But they are still in great shape because honestly I did not wear them frequently. smittie, usually by this time of the year my fall/winter boots and coats are all put away but I have been wearing them so they didn't go away yet. I don't mind too much other than I'm dying to wear sandals. LisaP, my basement is FULL of hidden treasures. I'm re-discovering some things I've not worn in years, and was considering giving away. YLF is helping me figure out how to incorporate them into my current lifestyle. Meredith, I need sweaters and toppers all year but I went on an all neutral kick and removed most of the color from my closet. Thankfully I saved my favorite colorful sweaters in my holding boxes. Suz, I figured out I cannot wear open toed shoes or sandals unless it's 65 degrees outside or I am an icicle all day and very unhappy. RobinF, the color is just what I need to perk up these dreary and cold spring days. Maneera, you are also making me blush. I greatly appreciate your generous compliments as I'm still trying to figure it all out. Xtabay, I think that's it for apple green but I do have more pinks because the pinks, reds, oranges are my favorites. BrieN, you made a great point about the distressed jeans. torontogirl, for whatever reason I went through a phase where I felt horrible in color and lately I've been enjoying it. Aleigh, the weather is creating all kinds of confusion for nature. Usually by this time my annuals are all planted but I'm holding off even longer. And because of the frost we had some fruit trees might not produce this year. Aliona, I think I originally put the bright green sweater in the holding box because it just didn't feel right in winter but it feels so refreshing at this time of year. delurked, I also find myself looking for 'finds' of some old items others post in their outfits. But I actually like it because it makes me realize I can incorporate some of my favorite old stuff into my current style and not look dated. Jaileen, the green is a wildcard color for me, even when I wore color regularly. It just feels so happy and springy. cobaltblue, spring cashmere is turning into a necessity around here. Brooklyn & Sara L., I decided that since I love animal print I am going to treat it as a neutral and just pair it with everything. Lyn67, looking at the color offerings in coats lately, I'm so happy I picked this one up years ago and held on to it. My cashmere sweaters are all cardigans relegated to the "these feel frumpy" holding zone right now but yours are really nice. If I liked something and it 'fit' I would just buy it and I don't ever remember thinking too much about the color, ever. I am reminded of this every time I go digging through my boxes of old clothing. So, while it may be spring, Saturday was freezing cold (45 degrees) and I was freezing cold even in the house. I decided I needed to wear a sweater, a wool sweater (and maybe a puffy coat). But I was just not feeling like any of my dark or light neutral sweaters could cut it. Lately I'm craving color in my life even more than I crave chocolate so enter the greenish cashmere sweater I spied in one of my old clothing boxes. I don't even know what to call this color but it's bright, cashmere, super soft and warm. And if your interested in the history, it's an Isaac Mizrahi for Target I picked up on clearance for $7. (You never forget when you get a cashmere sweater for that price.) I think it was the first collection he ever did for Target way back. It is just as nice quality cashmere, if not better than some that I purchased for a much-much-much higher price. Sunday started out at 31 degrees! But it was supposed to go up to 52. While I still had to wear a sweater and booties to stay warm at least it was bright and sunny outside. I was going to return this fuchsia-pink merino sweater but I decided to keep it and wear it because obviously I need brightly colored spring wool sweaters. All in all nothing really special, just my uniform in color. Bonus picture of Ginger and I, we both love animal print and pinks.
