I like the more extreme contrasting length between the two sides, as you have it now. Looks very purposeful and adds some lovely and interesting eye lines (i.e., it draws my eye across your entire face which I really like). Especially liking how the more "severe" cut looks paired with the soft glasses and make up, particularly the pink lippie. Hope you're able to adjust to it! I totally understand feeling off or unsettled in a hair style that others think looks great; sometimes we adjust and sometimes we don't.
