Thank you, thank you :-)

Shannon :: I could not believe I'd think of this shirt as you do about your new dress: when will I wear it again?

Suz :: to answer your question from #3, it was surprisingly comfortable. I did feel somewhat fidgety, which I think making the turtleneck sleeveless as per missvee's suggestion would address. The outfit itself is maybe not where I'm at style-wise, but interesting to do and wear, because it confirmed to me that I am not denim on denim person at heart, but adding that little visible layer underneath the shirt made me feel a lot more puled together and me. Does that make sense?

Beth Ann :: yes ma'am ;-) Lots.

Lisa :: totally more versatile than expected. The fact I can now wear it with skirts is enough to justify why I was hanging on to it despite constantly feeling I had to work hard to style it. Well, it was those extra 2 inches on every hem I
took them off that made it difficult, but i'm glad I saw beyond them.

Day Vies :: your full skirt outfit (on my 1st thread) was another reason why I felt this styling was the right route to take.

suzanne :: I'm happy you approve. And thank you very much for the vey thorough analysis and comments on other threads.

Now, what to wear next??I

Beautiful skirt! I think this is my favourite outfit so far with this shirt.
Talking about scrunching vs. rolling I think that scrunching gives it a more modern feel. This being said I haven't perfect the art myself.

Oh wow, have we seen this skirt before? It's beautiful! Love the whole look and the chambray shirt looks great with this. Personally I prefer to roll shirt sleeves up - they never stay where I want them when I'm scrunching them. I like the method where you still see the cuffs.

I love this one! It seems most like you. I think the alterations were needed and with those, you can wear this shirt with almost everything. Angie always says fit is important and I think your experiments are proving that! I like the sleeve rolled, something about the tight button on the scrunched is off to me.

Loud affirmation for this look Ornella. It's a super skirt and the chambray allows it to shine. Can't help on the sleeves except to say that my technique varies depending on the fabric.

Moving on. Good thing this shirt dries fast ;-)

This is the best illustration of how I wanted to wear the shirt after your initial suggestions and the main reason why I altered it drastically. You can't see the length but it's very short to avoid bulking and too much excess fabric when tucked in. As for the other alterations, you can compare them with 'before' on the old thread.

The skirt is a much loved item in my wardrobe. Until I unearth my white full linen skirt (summer wardrobe) this is the only full skirt item I have at the moment.

As for the unbuttoning, lower than this can't go for modesty reasons. I could maybe add a secret button though, hmh...

Question for you: which way of shortening the sleeves is better? Scrunching or rolling?

The verdict? Comments, suggestions and spanners equally welcome.
