Ooooh, I absolutely love the b/w turtleneck under the chambray. The red jacket just makes the whole thing go POW. I LOVE THIS!!!! I like it better than the inspiration because the red is more saturated. This is fabulous. I hope you wear it often!

Fab interpretation, Ornella!

Did it feel comfortable to you? I often love the way these layered looks appear, but struggle to wear them. Angie's boxy over boxy was a revelation in comfort. But tucked and not boxy tends to make me feel fidgety and fussy. How was this one for you?

Love this! You showed that shirt who's boss!
The layering is a good interpretation of the inspiration photo and perfect for your style. I would likely get hot, but then homes in my region are often a little overheated.

What a good job you've done! A suggestion for the striped tee - if you're wearing it only as a layering piece, why not remove the sleeves altogether to reduce the bulk when layering?

The colors and the layering all look good. I hesitate to say this because you've done such a good job, but a different jacket might be more striking on you. The color is good but the length seems short for those pants. A different topper might translate the inspiration in a way that is as striking on you as yesterday's outfit was. Looking thru your blog, you wore the chambray shirt with blue/white striped shirt and black topper (I think) with chambray shirt barely peeking out. It was open. So not the same look but colors were similar. I was trying to see if you had a different red topper on your blog and saw the other post. Sorry I couldn't offer up a nifty alternative. I am so impressed with what you are doing with this chambray shirt.

Gigi, Windchime :: The turtleneck is short sleeved. I cannot wear it alone, it needs topper, in winter one topper is usually not enough, which leads to bulky layers once I start adding them... but it seems I should treat it as transitional season only, not deep winter item.

Super copycat! Top ratings from me, and I hope there will be additional episodes! The red blazer is wonderful with the rest of your outfit. I too am wondering what it is about the sriped turtleneck that you don't like--a fit issue?

I think this looks great! I like the chambray cuffs rolled over the red blazer. The scrunched look is especially fab.

Why do you dislike the turtleneck? It must be serious if it has been on Death Row twice. Maybe you should consider replacing it with something very similar?

In previous episode:
After the second styling I was certain I wanted to alter the shirt. I figured it must work for the way I want to wear it. I did have a hope that the shirt can be sneaked under the fluid fit trend, but there were too many separate things that were putting me off it, so I'm trying equally to rescue it and play with it and learn from it.

So, I proceeded with the alteration, as mentioned in separate thread. Thanks for the input on it, I won't be replying to it so it doesn't resurface, I have read all the comments and opinions about the buttons too.

In tonight's episode:
I merged a few ideas from the Inge's inspiration photos (as seen in #2) and came up with what looked wearable, felt (al)most like me. I say almost because it's actually quite busy for my current preferences, but I was surprised how much I liked wearing this outfit.

Director's cut:
The final outfit took a while to come up with. I started with the striped tee and wanted to layer it under the chambray shirt as in the inspiration photo, but somehow it just felt off no matter what I did. I tried untucked shirt, unbuttoned, you name it, but it was just too loose, cowboy-ish and unfinished. As I wanted to keep the visible stripes and the all denim outfit + blazer just felt strange, I had to think a bit differently.
The striped short-sleeved turtleneck has 9 lives! I think I reached for it from the donation pile for the second time at least, every now and then it is the best piece to finish the outfit I have in mind.
Oh, yes - what did I say yesterday? No more denim on denim? Eating my own words.

Deleted scenes:
The outfit with the scrunched sleeves, as I actually wore it most of the time.

What are the viewer's ratings?
