Time for salwar-style harem pants and a short Indian tunic (kurti) for lounging about. I am rather taken with the chairs printed on my pants.</p> <p>Yesterday to fly from the cold capital to the warmer tropical city of Calcutta, I wore jeans, t-shirt, cardigan and big scarf. Had to pack and dress in great rush after a very late night of work. So didn't realise the proportions look so sloppy. But consoling myself the cardi style is handy for easy nursing and can provide a little modesty, and the scarf gives little one something to play with without turning his head around. And since baby was wrapped on me, my faux pas wasn't so evident.</p> <p>The worst of it was that the plane was ridiculously warm! We were roasting. Couldn't wait to strip off even that cotton blend cardi when we landed to a wintry 27°C (plenty of woollen shawls on the streets!) </p>
