Firstly congrats!! This is why the squats have been a struggle:)

You look great - it is x hard time to get the right clothes between comfort, growing belly, your own style preferences and work, climate etc.

I found accessories were my saviour - I wore simple clothes and fun hats and necklaces. And lots of repeating!! At least the flat shoes selection is good right now.

Congrats! I love outfits 3-6, well done. I also didn’t like maternity fashion and tried to make do with regular clothes as long as possible. But at the end of second trimester I gave up. At this point I pretty much did not care how I look any more, and just wanted to be comfortable:) How far along are you?

I found during pregnancy 10-ish years ago, that the maternity wear on offer was not my style at all! All short/flimsy tops, not comfy at all!

What I did, was look at men's tees and jumpers, because they gave me the length/room to feel covered/non-draughty, and although the shape as such wasn't terribly flattering depending on the style of top, basic plain tops could then be dressed up with scarves/jewellery/etc!

Dressing for pregnancy is tough so well done for sticking to your style guns and making that effort when you have every excuse to adopt a sack for the next few months.I think that your most successful outfits are the ones with layering and more flowing tops#3,5and6

Congratulations! The first two outfits show a very confident, out and about gal and I quite like them. But I hear you about feeling more comfortable in protective longer coats. Outfit 5 looks quite fabulous too, in a chic elegant unitentional way.

My pregnancy was very many years ago, but I remember that I found very few options of clothes which would work with my then professional style. I really like the outfits you were wearing. Especially the button down shirts and your outerwear look great. No 5 is super and I love the trench.
As for polyester, I also prefer other materials which breath better, especially in tops.

I can’t give much advice either, I found getting dressed especially at the end very challenging (no fan of rushing or other very feminine clothing either). I bought lots of second-hand, I borrowed, and (in retrospect) just made do trying to look somewhat like myself but not very well succeeding. It didn’t,help that I had so much water retention when spring came around I had to wear special pressure stockings (is that what they’re called in English?) and resorted to birkenstocks at work (cringing lol).
Anyhow apart from the first outfit (where I agree the fit of the top no longer works great especially without the jacket), I think you look very stylish.

GF - my wording was probably poor, sorry. I meant the popped part. Not that it’s a bad thing, but perhaps a bit snug for a more professional setting. I just read you were running errands, and I was thinking of a workplace with my comment. I am a big fan of you in your trench.

Delurked, 1-2 aren’t sheer, meaning my bra isn’t visible; it’s just my navel is quite popped and is visible unless I wear something that is loose, dark, and patterned.

#3 is my favorite! I also especially like 4 and 5. Pregnancy is the time for a capsule wardrobe if there ever was one. I did not want to look at my pregnancy clothes ever again once they no longer fit. I hear you about the problems with maternity clothes out there and absolutely agree second hand is the way to go.

It is worth buying some wrap type tops that you can wear as maternity tops and also open up easily for breast feeding (if you intend to breast feed) - as I found these very useful for the 3rd trimester and also the first 6 months when my son was born. You are looking very beautiful and stylish and whilst being pregnant can be tough (it was tough for me) - definitely worth it!

3 and 4 are my favorites, and 1-2 are my least favorites here (due to sheerness of the tees). I don’t have much I can contribute here, but I think it makes sense to make it through with a minimal capsule. As long as you are comfortable, I would think that would be the top goal. Wishing you good luck and hope you are feeling well.

You’ve done a good job, sticking with your minimalist look. It’s not easy- my maternity clothes are a decade in the past, and the options weren’t great then, either. The new top in #5 is an excellent addition.

(WIWT: #5): The top was an eBay find from my favourite, or rather least unfavourite, maternity store. Their clothes are intended to be worn before, during, and after, pregnancy, but they are overpriced and generally too boho/vintage for me. I’ll spare you my tirade against maternity lines, but suffice it to say, there are few options for androgynous/minimalist styles (aka solid neutrals sans ruching) in natural fibers. Since it was raining, I wore a silk handkerchief around my head and my trench pictured in #3.

I’ve tried to make due with what I own, especially jackets, but have learned the hard way that tops can become stretched to the point of transparency without your realizing. I had one or two pricier pre-pregnancy, tightly woven polyester tops that I had kept “just in case,” but wearing one of them out this week (the blush) in rainy and humid weather solidified my desire to sell them. They’re lovely, but not breathable.

These outfits were all worn on rainy days doing errands. I regretted #1 soon after I left home, and have relied heavily on my jackets and trenches to feel put together. I can’t zip or button them up properly, but they fit reasonably well from the back. The jacket/tee combo in #2 looks more high contrast in the photo than in real life because of the perspective.

I have a few nicer outfits that I forgot to photograph—including a dress that’s been a lifesaver for fancier settings—but will have to recreate them in the coming days.
