Isn't it amazing how we do make these subconscious choices? I have noticed this about myself as well. Sometimes it's a reaction to an inner mood, and sometimes to the weather. A certain number of days of "greys" and moody tones or neutrals in general mean I absolutely reach for the colours next!

My favourites here are 3 and 4, I think! You have a great formula with the jeans, sandals, jackets -- and wow, your closet is vast and multitudinous!

#3 and #4 are my favorites although I am intrigued by the button/pendant in #1. If your jewelry could talk!

Been busy as a bee of late, hence my absence. After a week of wearing primarily dark and moody attire I spent most of a week working from home wearing my most ratty-holey-threadbare sweats. This apparently subconsciously lead me to a need for more happy-zingy-fun color and attire. Or at least that's what I find myself thinking when I look at the photos of what I did wear when I went out over the last few weeks.

Outfit #1:

Coming to the end of my unintentionally "moody looking attire" week I ended up in a still subtle color palette and breaking out my embroidered black denim jacket and snake studded skater sneaks. I was headed out to pick up an antique victorian sterling pendant (which started out life as a button all those years ago) that I'd had the bale replaced on (the photo of the pendant shows the original bale. It was much too small).

Outfit #2:

A simple foundation of gray v-neck tee shirt and gray Theory trousers got amped up with the mint floral moto jacket and a pair of gold lame superga sneaks (scored brand new at the flea market for $7 awhile back). The victorian era angel-skin coral and gold earrings and a simple victorian era gold and garnet snake ring were delicate additions to the casual outfit I wore to go out shopping and for lunch.

Outfit #3:

After a full on week of dark and moody this was apparently my pendulum swinging hard the other way! Gradient striped sweater combined with polka dot skinny jeans ( I love that the dots on these gap jeans aren't completely round and instead look like the moon in its 3/4 phase. Plus they were a steal on liketwice for $8 during their Memorial day sale). Added more zing with the Alexander McQueen lips scarf and vintage red via spiga slingbacks.

Outfit #4:

Super causal for running errands on a really bad hair day. Loved that it finally was warm enough for me to wear my Zara blush pink sandals with gold bug accent (I think the bug is supposed to be a bee or fly but its done so stylistically I really can't tell). I thought the vintage quilted floral jacket in its muted tones tied together well with the colors of the sandals and bag. Added some more polish with antique pearl and gold jewelry, including the dramatic Georgian era bracelet with apple green chrysoprase.

Am trying to get back onto a regular posting/browsing schedule and am missing having the time to comment and read as much as I'd like on the forum these last few weeks. I'm guessing it will probably take me about another month to get back to a schedule where I can return to making YLF part of my everyday morning routine. Till then I'll just have to be content with reading, commenting and posting when time permits!

As always, comments and critique are welcome!
