And it wasn't until I joined YLF that I started thinking about bookending outfits with matching colours - before, I could see that something was off or missing in an outfit, but couldn't really see what it was, when it could be something simple as adding a similar colour..! It was an unheard of practice, at least in my community.</p> <p>My first experience with this practice was my college year abroad in Japan. </p> <p>However, among my friends, I only have one friend who does it. Or, at least, who asks her guests to do it. In winter, shoes off; in dry, temperate urban summer, sandals inside might be okay.&nbsp;</p> <p>In my family we tend not to wear outdoor shoes in the house but it is not a strict rule and sometimes for entertaining I'll leave them on. I usually show shoes in my outfit photos but that doesn't mean I'm wearing them in the house. Super simple but it has still been hard to find one I like! Wearing it with a scarf with some blue in, and blue knee socks scrunched down. Love the socks (colour and details) and I've had them for ages but have never really found good ways to wear (made a failed attempt a while ago if anyone remembers that post, hope not..!), but I think this could be OK?</p> <p>Showing without shoes since that's how I'll wear it tonight. Is that a cultural thing? In Sweden we NEVER wear shoes at home (unless it's specific indoor slippers/shoes), but hearing people who've lived in the US, or watching all American TV shows, hehe, it seems quite common to keep shoes on..? </p>
