Preppy can be chic -- absolutely. It combined with retro elements is the basis of my style aesthetic. I adore mixing intense colors in one outfit -- I am working on the contrasting pattern mixing (plaid and stripes anyone?).&nbsp;Prep on!&nbsp;</p> <p>I actually like the shoes with this outfit -- the silver echo's the clean/crisp white jacket and tee. I love how white makes blue look bluer even if the blue is faded. I think you can do cons just fine with this outfit and still convey chic. You can do all white which would keep the same feel of the outfit you have pictured here&nbsp;or you can add colored ones if you are't afraid of color.
