I was actually it is that way... since I also think tall boots increase the "seasonally confused-read" of wearing boots, shorts and tights.</p> <p>What I figured out so far... as long shorts are worn without hose, booties are more pleasing - to my eyes, at least. As soon as truly "winterize" the look and add tights, the tall boots seem more flattering.
