Turns out the gray jacket is like the gray Dolce Vita perforated booties: A gray that works with my coloring but not with most of my gray clothing! Grays can be so weird. It is going back.</p> <p>With that decision, I decided that I would see if a trip through the laundry would help the red jacket's crocking. The soak cycle yielded almost no red. The Delicate cycle with Nordstrom's lingerie wash made the water only slightly red. I was quite surprised actually; I expected a lot of dye in the water. The jacket came out great but will take awhile to air dry. Once it does, I will test it to see if the color continues to rub off. A woman stopped me as I was exiting the BART train to tell me how much she liked my outfit and even noticed my silver nails that go with my silver studs!</p> <p>Sadly, in addition to shedding, the jacket transferred red to my white bag and jeans. It has the normal KUT label about color transfer, but I don’t know if I will want to worry about where I will sit every time I wear this jacket.</p> <p>Meanwhile, the gray jacket was waiting for me when I got home. Not nearly as exciting but it works with my wardrobe and will not be anxiety provoking. </p>
