It was very inexpensive (under $20). No assembly required - you just hook it to the top of your door and the bottom of your door. The purse hooks are already attached to the straps and it holds a total of 18 purses. Each individual hook can slide up or down on the strap as well. It also comes with fasteners in case you want to attach it to a wall rather than hang over your door. So today I decided to tackle my small and messy closet that I share with hubby, as well as figure out a way to control my ever growing handbag collection.</p> <p>To go running around looking for organizational "doodads" I put on my dark wash skinny jeans, grey Cons, Gap striped tee and my vintage small men's white and blue cardigan. I love this sweater! It's 100% wool so quite warm and I feel like I should either be lawn bowling or playing cricket in it! It's sooooooo very 1950's isn't it? And here's my new orange handbag I thrifted yesterday - 100% buttery soft leather with animal print lining. Yippee!!!</p> <p>I picked up this cool two strap system to hang your handbags on the back of a door, then bought a tower and two new hanging bars. I assembled the tower and mounted it in the centre of the closet, then cut one long bar in half to make two for hubby's side (upper bar for shirts and jackets, lower bar for pants) and cut my bar off just a bit so it would fit and be high enough for dresses. It's a tiny closet - only 4 feet wide so we have to make use of every bit of space. The spots in the tower and smaller shelf unit are for my shoes, the two boxes on the top shelf of the tower hold tights in one and scarves in the other. I also have a few sweaters on one of the shelves. I also mounted a shelf on the top of my bar for a couple of large handbags that the strap system can't accommodate and a few clutches that don't have handles to hang with. Out of season clothing and outerwear for both of us are under a large cedar closet underneath the stairs.</p> <p>I also included a pic of the beautiful jewelry box my Dad made for me at the age of 85!</p> <p>I'm really happy with how this turned out, had a blast doing it and even hubby was impressed - he poured me a glass of wine after I was done for congrats! </p> <p>So that's been my Sunday. Hubby is now barbecuing burgers, my son has his best friend over and we're about to enjoy the rest of the day/evening.</p> <p>Hope you're having a good one! </p>
