K -- I got it in the cream and blue too. I tried it on yesterday (the black one) with a white button sown shirt underneath --(like Angie) I felt like the white shirt showed through underneath at least on me. I am going to try it with a few other button downs. I am finding it acts really nicely as a blouse and dresses up nicely. I'll have to wear it soon so that we can compare notes.

@Suz, the boots are relatively comfortable. I don't have picky feet. They are fine for me for all day wear, but they are a little high. If they'd made them a half inch shorter, they would have been perfect. They are taupe, so you, as Empress of the Empire of Taupe could easily integrate them into your wardrobe. They run TTS. And yes, Suz, you clever girl, you. You are right. My LE puffer is machine washable. That definitely was a point in its favor when I was picking it out.

Yes, white puffers are as elegant as a puffer can get! You rock that white and look FAB

This is a fantastic outfit that I long to copy. Except I would have to go out and buy each item. Which I am seriously tempted to do!!

Are the booties comfortable? I LOVE the colour of them. Are they TTS?

(Like I need another pair of booties. But...um....)

That top looks so good on you.

And you know what? I'll bet that puffer can just go in the washer if needed. I washed my LE puffer in our machine no problem.

Ha ha! Thistle, spoken like another mom with a young babe. The secret is that I don't wear it anywhere near my daughter!!! She's two and currently in the "my mommy is my napkin" stage, so I have to be super careful around her. I'm seriously thinking about investing in laminated fabric clothes. :)

@Angie, I actually had on your recommended Calvin Klein snakeskin reversible belt, but it turned out to be too large. Luckily, I can send it back and get the smaller size. It looked even better with this, though. More presence than my fallback belt. Your store pics are the best!

Looks great! The puffer is really nice and very flattering. What is your secret to keeping it white?!?

Love the tee with jeans and booties. Your legs still look miles long in it, and it looks comfy and flattering.

Great top, and perfect fits overall. I like the bookending of your hair with the boots, and find a white coat so fresh! Even more amazing than no jelly stains is the fact that you seem to have found a few moments of mom time!

That shirt is great on you, I love stripes when there is some variation. The jeans look great and you do look very tall and sleek, so no worries there. Great puffer too!

DV, it is a great shirt, isn't it? I bought two of them. They were so ridiculously cheap and flattering that I couldn't resist doubling up. I can't wait to see you wear yours. I'd love more ideas!

I haven't posted a WIW in ages, so I thought I should own up to what I'm wearing currently. I've been wearing some variation of this outfit a lot lately. Often with my straight cut jeans, but today with my mid-waisted skinny jeans. It cruelly breaks the rules about leg elongation, both because of the light footwear and the fact that the jeans are shoved inside the boots. However, I think that the fact that I have longer legs, the boots are high heeled and the jeans have a higher waist help offset that, so overall I think it gets a pass for figure flattery.

Had to sneak in the picture of my white parka, just to show the depths (height?) of my neutrality.

Jeans are JCrew Midrise Toothpics, Tee from Old Navy, Snakeskin Belt (hard to see but there) is old Nordstrom clearance, and Boots are Sam Edelman Salina 2s. Love my puffer--from Land's End last year. White is a crazy choice for someone with a 2 year old, but sometimes we have to live on the edge. Somehow the white makes it seem very modern and urban to me, less outdoorsy.
