This was a fun outfit to wear, and good for what turned out to be a really muggy day. Who knew I'd start wearing my linen in April? </p> <p>Re: the shoes. The "after" pic was taken before the dye dried (hence the lack of laces). It got a little streaky on one shoe in the perforated part after drying, I think due to the very soft leather creasing a little. And the solid leather toe cap looks darker than the perforated part in some lights but I think that's due to the textures reflecting light differently. I just love the rosy brights!! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-blush-tomato-and-rose-gold#post-1648579 Fri, 22 Apr 2016 16:59:44 +0000 Diana 1648579@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>It's turned out to be extremely warm and muggy today, so perfect weather to wear my tomato linen jacket.&nbsp; (This is my only true tomato red item, although I do have a number of other items in different shades of red).&nbsp; I had the option of several blush items to pair with it, and ultimately went with this full skirt in a nude-ish blush.&nbsp; I liked the combo of the tomato with the warmer, nude-leaning blush more than with the cool, clear pale pink blush of the top in photo #4 (which was also the wrong shape for the jacket).&nbsp; Do you agree that tomato works better with a warmer blush than a cooler one, or am I crazy?&nbsp; </p> <p>I also thought this was the perfect opportunity to debut these new, DIYed rose gold oxfords (well, more metallic rose than true rose gold, I guess).&nbsp; They were originally kind of a dull brick red color, so I got out my trusty Tarrago shoe cream and gave them a coat of pale gold.&nbsp; The dye didn't take quite evenly (partly because the perforated and smooth parts are a little different, and partly because I didn't stuff the shoes while it was drying so the dye developed some creasing and streaking), so I think I want to give them another coat, but I am enjoying wearing them today nevertheless.&nbsp; </p> <p>Thanks Angie for the inspiration!</p> <p>(INC jacket, Anthro top, AT skirt, Taos oxfords)</p> </p>
