If you make your neck focal point it will elongate it and with your short hair, give you a nice shine to your face.<br /> I can't really see the color of the the top you have beneath, but if you try something crips white it will illuminate you even more.<br /> Keep to the dark brown shoes and maybe fold the jeans inwards to give it a straight feel and remove the bagginess. Or you do you have a darker pair of jeans? I think the basis of your outfit is great and you've followed the example pic perfectly. I think I must have pinned while I had all my non-jeans pants in for alterations. Clearly, I need to find additional inspiration.</p> <p>But today is a 'Mom Day', as the kids call it, and jeans are perfect. So here's my first outfit.</p> <p>My 8-yoDD is starting to pride herself on catching my weird expressions. I think I was saying "ooh, It's sooo waaaarrrrrm!", to try to convince us that we weren't freezing.</p> <p>I tried the belt-over-cardi look here, and didn't like it in these pics. The mirror convinced me that looser or lower wasn't really better, so the cardi went back to loose and the belt back to the jeans. I also ended up wearing the orange-y shoes instead of the yellow boots. So it's really not that close an approximation of the inspiration outfit. Oh well. It's comfy, and I feel like I look reasonable in it, now that the belt is back on the jeans. I just don't want to go back outside for another pic....</p> <p>Suggestions more than welcome!</p> <p>Off to look for inspiration photos for my black or brown slacks. I think I have most of what's necessary to recreate the outfit in the photo that Angie linked to this morning, and may try that one tomorrow! </p>
