They are magical on me. They have pleats, which normally I wouldn't like, but also great pockets, and somehow manage to look modern rather than old fashioned. They fit my curvy figure well, though less curvy people should probably size down. And the quality is great. My only complaint is no belt loops. </p> <p>And i had planned to wear nicer shoes with #3, but it was the end of the meeting and my feet were tired! It was rainy all week and a bit chilly, so I didn't wear any of my dresses and instead stuck to trousers.</p> <p>The meeting has a pretty even number of men and women, and ranges in age of attendees and where they come from. I'm usually in the middle of the pack when it comes to dressiness, which ranges from jeans to full suits. Five or so years ago I rarely saw attendees wear jeans, but there's been increasing numbers every year, possibly as new and younger members come. So here are some of my rare business casual looks.</p> <p>Outfit 1) First day of the meeting. I liked this outfit and would definitely wear again. The top is silk and has a little bit of a sheen that makes it pop more in person.<br /> JCrew top, Gap cardigan, Everlane pants, Clarks shoes.</p> <p>Outfit 2) I didn't feel as fab in this one. Something about the cut of these pants doesn't quite work for me, but I only wear them a few times a year and have yet to find a decent replacement. But I love the pattern on the top.<br /> Club Monaco top from Janet, JCrew cardigan, Loft pants.</p> <p>Outfit 3) A much more casual version worn to workshop and poster session on the last day. But still well in the acceptable range for the meeting. I'm not usually a blazer fan, but I do like this tweedy moto version.<br /> Loft top and blazer, Rag and Bone jeans, Vans shoes.</p> <p>Sorry for the terrible lighting.
