But everyone made me feel quite special this year, from my surprise Michael Kors handbag from my hubs to my birthday shopping trip from my FABULOUS mother. She took me Saturday and I got some pieces that I just LOVE (and all for GREAT prices, such as 40% off every single item at Express!) </p> <p>I usually prefer to shop boutique style, but visiting the mall means scoring some killer pieces from a few of my staples that have always worked for me, like Express and Forever21. And at Dillards, I scooped up the most FAB Lucky Brand leather/suede studded wedges (black and taupe) that have such a cool mixed vibe of both 60s boho and street chic that I plan to wear clear through spring, summer and fall. SUCH A WONDERFUL DAY with my amazing mother and sister, minus the 'needy stage' that my 14 month year old is currently going through that caused me to have to literally carry him the entire stretch of the mall. Whew!</p> <p>That evening, my husband took me to Bonefish Grill (my favorite place for authentic, yummy seafood and great cocktails-try their Winter White Cosmo!) and surprised me by inviting one of my closest friends I hadn't seen in years! We had a bit TOO much fun (as you can see from the pictures!) but I wanted to show off a few of my new pieces. The blouse and skirt are both from Express, and I paired them with slouchy suede black boots (that are terribly old!), my new blue snakeskin handbag, and piled on tons of jewelry! Yes, it was a bit cold with bare legs, but I'm a trooper...and was tan enough to grin and bare it! :)</p> <p>As stated, I hope I don't look TOO sloppy in the photos, minus the one I included of my son, who was looking ever-so-stylin' on our shopping adventure!
