The temperature stayed between 66 to 71, and was foggy every day, with one morning of drizzle. &nbsp;We didn’t see the sun until we were on the plane home. &nbsp;It didn’t matter to me. &nbsp;I grew up with cold, windy fog, and this was neither. &nbsp;On the TV news they said, “It feels like Fall.”</p> <p>I wore shorts and a windbreaker every day. &nbsp;I brought nicer clothes for dinner, but La Jolla was very casual, and I only dressed up (cropped pants and a nice top) one evening. &nbsp;We mostly walked and walked. &nbsp;My phone said I walked from 17,000 to 21,000 steps each day. &nbsp;Each night I fell asleep to the sound of the crashing waves. &nbsp;</p> <p>The MVP on this trip was an Eddie Bauer windbreaker I bought last spring. &nbsp;It has a gridded fleece interior and several zip-up pockets to hold my barest of essentials. &nbsp;I brought another EB windbreaker that I jokingly called my dressy windbreaker. &nbsp;On the trip home I’m wearing my nod to a column of color. &nbsp;</p> <p><a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.eddiebauer.com/p/38925902/women's-sandstone-backbone-grid-hoodie?sp=1&amp;color=Dusted%20Indigo">https://www.eddiebauer.com/p/3.....r=Dusted%2</a><div><br /></div><div>1. &nbsp;My outfit every day</div><div>2. &nbsp;My travel outfit home<br />3. &nbsp;Across the street we saw three weddings getting ready. &nbsp;It was a beautiful if not very private setting<br />4. &nbsp; There were lots of surfers, but nearly all wore wetsuits.<br />5. &nbsp;We went to the brand new Museum of Contemporary Art. &nbsp;The bright square in the center of the picture is an opening to the outdoors. &nbsp;There were several of these. &nbsp;I’m not sure how this works when it rains.<br />6. &nbsp;Black turnstone<br />7. &nbsp;Black oystercatcher<br />8. &nbsp;Whimbrel<br />9. &nbsp;Brown pelican<br />10.
