I keep looking at that bag online, and I might just have to get it now that I've seen a real person carrying it. I agree that you look professional, yet creative, and that your clothes fit and flatter you beautifully!

Ha ha! Claire, I'm pretty sure that there is a whole world of SA's who totally disagree with you. When I take ten pairs of the same size and cut of jeans into the fitting room to try them on, it doesn't earn me any love. When I leave them carefully rehung or refolded, it does. (I worked as a SA in college. I feel morally compelled to leave my fitting room in good condition.)

I wish I was more PPP, but I'm working on it. Thanks for the affirmation of good habits!:)

Woot for the pattern mix! It looks so sophisticated on you. I'm glad your second look at the bag sealed the deal. I never thought about first and second runs before. I'm learning a lot. You are such a good, patient, picky and persistent shopper. (That's a compliment, BTW)!

Shannon, it is! Good eye! I passed it up for pre-sale, but went back after talking a friend into upgrading from disposable to investment handbags (she got a small Brahmin from NAS), and when I saw it again, I fell for it. I'd loved the color and style the first viewing, but the finish was too soft. This one must have come from a different run. It is still soft, but not extremely soft. Hooray for different runs!

Those blue pants are fantastic on you. The cropped length is cheeky and fun, while the neutral top/sandals/bag keeps the outfit professional.

Pattern mixing in #2 is fun too.

Your looks say "professional but also creative/has a personality"

Gosh, thanks, Rae! After I posted #3 yesterday, I thought "well, that's a nice basic outfit, but nothing to get super excited about, other than that I'm starting to pattern mix." So hearing you say it is LOVE, well, that just makes my day!

The sweater is fine, but not awe-inspiring. I can see why you're not getting excited about it.

WOW, LOVE #3! Your bag is very cool. I also really like your pattern mix in #1, but I agree the sweater isn't the best. I tend to purge things after seeing it in a photo, too - the camera can be really helpful, yes?

Day 2, another baby step. Leopard shoes with snake bag. (Day 1 included too.) I've decided I'm going to try to amp it up each each day for the rest of the week. Tomorrow I'm going for more pattern. Wish me luck!

ETA: Interestingly, I'd always been slow to pull this sweater out of the closet and wear it. Seeing the photo of it made it easier to see why. I just don't like it that much. I don't like the morning coat effect of the collar panels in front. So it is off to another, more loving home, unless you all convince me otherwise.
