Hey Rachylou, the shoes are Fly London Piat. Inspired by Lisap! They're great! Comfy and well made. I highly recommend.

First, I really like #5, your casual outfit. Very stylish footwear choice with it and also with #1. It's amazing how a change of footwear can shift the look and feel of an outfit, isn't it?!

I wonder how you'd feel in the flounced skirt if you wore it with a different shirt.

I hope your back feels much better soon!

Thank you for the feedback and also for the well wishes. The worst of the spasming is over so on to the next step.
Maneera-I did like #1 and felt fab in the last one and it was so simple.
Kellygirl-I wondered the same thing about bringing more white to #1. No reason to duck! Great compliment! The sneakers are grey, got them from Steve Madden on clearance. I've attached the find below.
Cheryle-Sometimes the little tweaks make a big difference I'm learning.
Joy- I haven't tried denim. Good idea, I'll do that.
Smittie-I laughed at your skirt yanking comment. I might try folding the waistband over and see what that does.
Angie-Thank you for your comments. For #4 I might need to reinforce a few seams on the swinging part towards the bottom. You can't see from the pic but it has a nice little swish to it.

Good job sticking to this challenge, Donna. Feel better soon.

#1 is cute. Repeating the white somewhere is a good idea too.

#2 is pulled together, and I like the skirt.

#4 is the nicest skirt of them all to my eye - is it too worn in person?

#5 is very fashion forward. The tucked top makes the proportions work. Nicely done.

Feel better Donna. Hopefully it doesn't last too long.

I like the clean lines of the top in #2 but I want to yank the skirt up higher than your knees to great better proportions.

For #4, I would prefer to see a dressier top with the skirt. I do like the knot though.

I didn't even notice your footwear, so I guess it looks good to me :)

I think I like #2 the best, but #1 is a close second.

I sympathize with your back pain and hope it is better. No vacuuming or lifting for you. I agree with Suz and Cheryle. Your casual outfit looks wonderful. I love the shoes. The skirts look quite similar to each other in the photos. Keep any that spark joy. They also look like they would be easy to pack for a trip, so could be part of a travel capsule. Have you tried a denim jacket with any of these feminine skirts?

I feel for you Donna. Back pain is a killer.

I like the loafers with the skirt. It is casual but so is the tank so it works. I can really see the difference in 2 and 3. The proportions are SO much better in 3. I like the way you have side tucked the top in #4. It is very flattering. I am finding that using the partial tuck to create angles is not only interesting to look at but flattering as well. A good tool to have in your style repertoire. As to #5, I am all about the olive and it works so well with stripes. This is such a nice casual outfit and looks comfortable too.

Hope you feel better soon.

Love 3! I would like to see some white repeated on top in 1. While this works, my eyes are drawn to the white shoes. It seems to need something else light on top for balance--at least to my eye. I think your casual Friday outfit is just great. I have a feeling the camera angle is skewing the proportions a bit. Great sneaks--are they light grey? I think 4 is kind of plain compared to your other WIWs--it could be the combination of the plain tee and the sandals perhaps. Good for knocking around but not up to par with your usual fab outfits <ducking>

You're doing very well, Donna! I hope you feel better soon.....

You seemed to have enjoyed wearing #1. The outfit is quite cute and looks very comfortable. I'm very impressed with how well you fixed the proportions on your second outfit - #3 is really nice. I like the skirt, but it seems very similar to the other two.
Your proportions are excellent in #4; I really really like this outfit.

Thank you Suz! I do really like #1. Something about the pattern, colors and cut. It may be old, but unless someone thinks it has past its prime, I'm all for keeping.
#2 I added a slip under. Maybe that tells me it is past it's prime. I know I did better with the proportions when I folded it. I'm starting to see it now. yay!
#4 I wore with comfy shoes for my back. I'm looking forward to what other s have to say about it too,

You are dedicated to this challenge and wow, are you ever rocking it!!

Way to go.

It sounds as if you really love #1, so why not keep it? The juxtaposition of the sporty shoes with the feminine skirt is quite fun.

I like the slight changes you made to #2 in #3 and it does improve the proportions, to my eye. But if the skirt is now missing its lining, maybe it can go? Time for an upgrade/ update?

I am less enthralled with #4 but I am not entirely sure why. It might be the footwear with it. I guess overall these skirts seem quite similar -- pattered skirts, with some hemline interest, all slightly A-line. Do they duplicate one another at all for you? They would, for me, despite different colour ways.

Well it's one thing after another for me these days so I decided to do a weekly challenge post instead of daily and hope you can forgive no makeup, no hairstyling and "trying to hide uncomfortability" faces. My back has been out since my birthday Saturday, but I really wanted to get through this challenge as I'm learning a lot about style, proportion and what skirts to keep or purge.
#1 - I wore this old skirt Monday with a blush tank and brown wedges but only for a few hours before I went home. So Tuesday I paired it with a brown sweater tank and white loafers. This was my first time wearing loafers with a skirt and I loved it! I like the swirly pattern and colors of this skirt and think it might be a keeper. How does it look?
#2-#3 - An even older skirt that I've had to remove the built in slip due to wear. The first photo is how I'd wear it pre-YLF. I'd just throw on a top and go. The second photo I've folded the top up under itself to make it shorter (almost peplum-like). I think it helped with the proportions. But what do you think of the skirt? It kind of reminds me of my new tube skirt as far as shaping goes-just a little looser.
#4 - Not sure about this skirt. Like the coloring and pattern and the little subtle ruffle on the hem. Just paired with a tee, again shortened the proportion a la DianeG. Feeling this one might be showing its age?
#5 - Not part of the challenge, just threw in what I wore today on casual Friday.
Thank you for looking and please don't hold back with your honest comments and tips!
