Also: I need your culottes! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-athens-conference-capsule#post-1852054 Mon, 09 Oct 2017 18:08:45 +0000 Diana 1852054@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I was in Athens last week for a conference and thought I'd share my capsule. &nbsp;This was a scientific conference, which always runs the gamut from people in suits (rare) to people in shorts and birkenstocks (more common than you might think.) &nbsp;Most people are somewhere in between, lol. &nbsp;</p> <p>I also spent a few hours in Zürich on my way home, but did not get a photo of the outfit (just jeans, a lightweight sweater, sneakers, tote, and trench coat). &nbsp;I wanted to say thank you to everyone on my previous post who encouraged me to bring the trench though! It was perfect for the day in Zürich.</p> <p>Conference outfits. &nbsp;All the outfits (except the travel one) were worn for both conference stuff (long day of talks, poster sessions, chatty coffee breaks, etc) plus going out at night. &nbsp;Lots of walking most days!</p> <p>1: Travel outfit for an overnight flight. &nbsp;Lace sweatshirt, track pants, sneakers, and knit blazer (which is really more like a cardigan). &nbsp;I actually changed into the silver skirt (in photo 8) for the second shorter flight (Zürich to Athens) both because I wanted to look nicer when I arrived and because it was warm in Athens. &nbsp;</p> <p>2-3: Sleeveless floral blouse and culottes. &nbsp;Decided on a whim to tuck the top for a change. &nbsp;I almost never tuck but I think it works ok here with the wider bottoms. &nbsp;I wished I had brought a belt though.</p> <p>4-5-6: Pattern mixing with my embroidered tank and pleated skirt. &nbsp;I wore this to give my talk.</p> <p>7: A simple dress and sandals. &nbsp;For a topper, I had my white denim jacket which is not pictured here. &nbsp;</p> <p>8: Tee, silver linen skirt, and sneakers. &nbsp;I actually got too hot in the sneakers and switched to sandals (in #7) for the majority of the day.</p> <p>Bonus pictures from my trip:</p> <p>9: flying into Athens.<br />10-13: Athens at night<br />14-15: Zürich<br />16: cheese fondue I ate in Zürich. &nbsp;=)<br />17-18: animal photos! &nbsp;A cat (with snake? rain gutter) in Athens and a swan on Lake Zürich. </p>
