Absolutely stunning, every one. You look sensational. The first outfit looks like a dress! Love the pendant with it.

Denim skirt looks like a great length on you to me, at least with these (fab) sandals.

Thanks Jenn! The top is a loosely woven cotton, so not too hot for evening wear. In the evening we have been enjoying "cool" temperatures of around 22 degrees. I want to try the tee with jeans too but still too hot for jeans!
Thanks SaraL!
Thanks Sarah! Do you mean the platform sandals? I find them very comfortable because the heel elevation on them is quite small so I am not tilted forward greatly, just lifted up. If that makes sense. I would not run a marathon in them (or at all actually) but I have walked in them for reasonable distances eg to the train station and back without ill effect :)
ETA: thanks Helen! Bet it's hot where you are too!

Wow, these are all great! I love the first outfilt with the top layered over the skirt. The jean skirt looks good to me and the patchwork is nicely done (I was worried when I first read "patchwork" before looking at the pics). The dyed green top came out great.

What a great dye job on that top! The thick knit isn't too hot in those temperatures?

I really like the tee-tunic over the dress. It adds so much interest to the look. (I also like the tunic over ripped-jeans look, as it is in the finds!)

Thanks Shevia!
Thanks FC! I think a pencil skirt works well with both longer tops and shorter more boxy tops. But the A line skirt, at knee length, does not work so well with longer tops. I will have to have a play around with pinning the hem and see if shortening it makes it more versatile. And thanks for the comment on my dye job. But it's not quite in the same league as making a beautiful coat

What gorgeous outfits, all of them! You have a knack for dressing fabulously in hot weather, and I hope I can remember to revisit these posts when I need that inspiration! I love the layering in 1. That outfit is so breezy and artful and looks comfy in the heat. I like #2 as is, but I also think the skirt could work above the knee. And the third outfit is just sublime, with the colors, texture, the bit of figure flattery with the skirt, but reined in by the cropped sweater. I'm amazed at your dyeing expertise!

Skirt lengths and proportions are my bete noire in dressing. When I get it right, it's pretty much by accident. So I will just note that the two skirts (in outfits 2 and 3) look to be the same length, but it's the denim one about which you are questioning the length. The shape is quite different, so I think that aspect must be significant. Not that I know what to do with that little datum, but there it is.

Thanks Sheila! The green is my fave too. Did I mention that I really love dark green?
Thanks Aliona! It's been years since I had an A line skirt and I am a bit thrown by how to pair it.
Thanks Smittie! We are seeing some forest green here. Very happy about that but I am trying to be patient and picky and not rush in and buy everything!
Thanks JAileen!
Thanks Angie! That is high praise indeed :)

Thr first outfit is my favorite. It really looks like a dress and not a t-shirt over a dress. Yes, the high neckline is very nice on you.

I'm not sure what to say about the length of the jean skirt. I personally would leave it alone.

I think you're very crafty dyeing your sweater There is actually a bit of forest green appearing at Banana republic here, so maybe there will be more purchasable forest green in your hemisphere soon too.

Fantastic, Brooklyn, I love all of these. Great idea to layer tee over dress, it looks fab. I think the skirt length in 2 works well, but then I wear lots of pencil styles as workwear, and maybe recommendations are different for A line. I hemmed a casual tulip skirt to above the knee last year. I loved it then, but a sudden onslaught of midlife knee sag means it now has to go to someone with younger gams. Since you're young enough, you might want to show off those great legs!

Yes, you and dark green are a match made in heaven.

Thanks Anne, Cerinda, Rachy and Sally!
Cerinda and Sally - yes it's the top issue. The skirt works with a shorter top or with a tucked top. I am not wild about tucking, especially in summer, but I have been doing that for this skirt. I think if it were a little shorter it would work better with longer tops (of which I have many).
And Sally, it is still seriously warm here. And I have some fun new cool weather gear just taunting me every time I open my closet

Looking good!! Clever layering on 1 and luckily I approve of the dark green on you. I do like 2 with the cropped boxy tee but agree if the top is longer maybe a shorter skirt may be easier... I guess it depends what length top you will mostly wear.

We don't get such hot days here - it has been warm and sunny still but now with cooler nights. But I too have been doing a lot of repeating of looks - I am okay with that in summer but find it harder going in late winter.

Well, it's a good thing your feelings for deep green are mutual then, isn't it? Definitely the green loves you back. All lovely outfits. The layers are interesting (and would never have occurred to me:thanks). I think the denim skirt length really flatters your legs, but does it work with other tops? Top/skirt/leg are pretty close to a 1:1:1 ratio (if you care) and I wonder if that will make it hard to style.

Hi all

Summer goes on here with temps over 30 every day. Add some humidity and it feels even warmer. Lots of repeat wears.

But here's what I have got:

Outfit 1: Worn out to dinner. This is an asymmetric tee layered over an asymmetric dress. It is hard to see in the photos but adding the tee to the dress creates a bit of extra interest in the skirt and raises the neckline of the top (which works well for not-so-well-endowed me). I over exposed pic 3 to try to show the layers. Not just to look spooky. (Because "dark and spooky" is Rachy's gig )

Dress: Metalicus; Tee: Decjuba: Bag: Ash; Shoes: Wittner.

Outfit 2: Patchwork denim skirt. Worn out to lunch. I am generally not drawn to denim skirts but I love the A line and the patchwork effect. It is lightweight and easy for summer. Thoughts about the length? I had it taken up a few inches from calf length but am now wondering if I should have taken it up a teeny bit more. I wonder if right on the knee is no man's land?

Skirt: Glamorous (from ASOS); Top: Decjuba; Shoes: Wittner.

Outfit 3: OTT green. Worn out to dinner. Words cannot describe how much I looove dark green. Is it possible to wear too much dark green in a single outfit? I think not.

Skirt: Metalicus; Top: Thurley, dyed by me using Dylon dark green ("dyed by me" is a new category falling well below the "made by me" category); Bag: Rachael Ruddick; Shoes: Edward Meller.

Feedback, comments and suggestions always appreciated. However, on the excessive wearing of dark green my decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
