They took a year to find some I was happy with. Then I wasn’t totally happy with the pedicure (which I did myself) because of the several bottles of bright pink nail polish I own it wasn’t quite a perfect match. I growled at myself and told myself to get over myself! A wedding where I am a guest is not about me. Our son is the bride’s brother’s best friend since they were 4 and they are now 29 and flatting together along with 3 others. The bride is 27 years old.<br /> It is very late spring here, we count summer as beginning 1 December so not far away now. Not always hot but it was yesterday, the most beautiful cloudless day. It was held at an outdoor venue with the reception on the same site. 3 pm ceremony, everyone kept moving into the shade when we could.<br /> I was able to re-wear the outfit I put together for the Canadian wedding we went to in 2023, just changed to my fuchsia sandals and added a hat. I have had the hat over a decade. Neil had bought a silk shirt in Vietnam recently.<br /> Fascinating looking at the different outfits. Most were formal in the different generations but the occasional unusual shoe choice to my mind- combat boots? Lots of tattoos on the younger generation.<br /> We had a fab time and danced until 11.30 pm. The bride and groom’s first dance was the famous one from Dirty Dancing and they even did a very good lift! Loved that </p>
