I wore the flip flops to church today, along with my denim skirt and a white boatneck top. As I drove there, Marketplace was on the radio. They were talking about dress codes at work, ending with the (unbeknownst to me) universal hatred for flip flops! The difference between Thursday night and Friday night was significant. The Randy Newman concert went to 9:30 and it was very chilly. I took a light jacket, and wished I had worn longer sleeves, because I laid the jacket over my legs and feet. Last night the concert was over by 8. Last weekend we saw Next To Normal, a rock musical about mental illness. Last night we went to a Randy Newman concert, which was *excellent*. Tonight we went to a free rock concert, downtown on the river. We were particularly interested in this group, because we know two of the musicians. It was wonderful to see the great response to the group.</p> <p>It was in the low 90s when we left at 6pm, so shorts and a Boho top seemed like a good idea. The top is from Eddie Bauer, and the shorts from Kohls. I'm wearing my new Clarks flip flops. My broken toe still can't tolerate shoes. </p>
