I considered other shoes, but these won out for a long, warm day on my feet. </p> <p>Peri and avicennia, I would say that in comfort and coolness they are note quite as cool as 100% linen. They are a medium-weight fabric, in a twill weave. They feel closer to tencel than to linen. They don't feel stretchy, but they also don't bag out as much as 100% linen does. I thought about wearing this top with the skirt yesterday, in fact. </p> <p>The outfit (worn to work): linen trousers (NYDJ, Wylie, in sand dollar); navy and ivory shredded-stripe boxy tee (made by me); cream belt; ivory platform sandals (Naot); brass and silver earrings (Marjorie Baer); navy and tan satchel (Dooney &amp; Bourke).</p> <p>Sorry about the blurry second photo.
