Thanks, all!

Aida, you're right, the fabric of the navy dress is pretty casual. It's basically a thick jersey. I think the shape (swingy) makes it feel shorter to me than it actually is. To be honest, there isn't any reason I shouldn't wear it to lab (nobody cares, it's super casual, and unlike Tanya we basically have no dress code); it's all just in my head.

Isabelle, I don't remember that post of Angie's, probably because I almost never wear buttondowns. Thanks for pointing it out. I think I will definitely try that on these sleeves. (Or just use safety pins as Jane suggested).

Lovely orange dress - looks great!

I tried Angies trick - it was perfect but one morning I hadn't time and did something similar with safety pins which also worked too

I love #4 and #5, you look sensational in both dresses. Love how you accessorized the navy dress with florals and burgundy in particular.

I also like #2, you look ready to twirl happily in your white skirt, I like it less with the jacket on, I guess the layering gets too complicated for my taste.

Angie posted a trick to keep sleeves scrunched

HOW ADORABLE ARE YOU. My word. I can just eat you up in #4 and #5. That's how to rock a casual frock. Killer and love the bag.

Wooo to wearing the bright orange dress! Still loving it (so bummed it didn't work for me). The light shades in #1-3 look super on you. Especially liking the metallic gladiators with it. Navy dress also looks good, but also more like a casual dress to me. Not entirely because of the length but more the style and how the fabric appears through the screen (looks like a knit but that could be wrong).

I love the new dress on you, Diana -- that is glorious! You look sensational in that colour.

Both other outfits are also terrific. The grey and white is so soft; the black so graphic. It amazes me, but you can do it all!

I really like the simplicity of #4 with the fun floral tote and cute burgundy sandals. Very summer chic!

Love your version of the grey/blue/white outfit, Diana! The orange dress is very flattering on you, and I think that the length of the
Navy dress is globe for casual environment, as labs tend to be.

It may be bright, but I think orange looks great on you. I've always admired your orange pants, and this dress looks perfect for summer. Nice version of the grey/blue/white ensemble, too.

1-3: Another take on the light blue, white, and pearl grey ensemble from last Friday. (My first version is here.) This was actually the first combination that popped into my head when I saw the blog post, but it was too cold on that day to wear it. But it's warmer this week, so I thought I'd give it a try. Full white skirt, grey petal hem tee, silvery gladiators, white/snake bag, and light blue and grey striped jacket. I enjoyed wearing this, although I did have a couple of Marilyn moments as it was windier than expected!
(Benetton skirt, ??? tee, Tulle jacket, Naot sandals, Halogen bag).

4: A navy jersey dress I bought recently at the Gap. I wore this to work, although I felt like it was borderline too short (unlike the orange one, this one didn't come in tall!) I might save it for non-work days. It's very comfy and has pockets. I have two other navy dresses anyway. (I know, I know... but I do wear them all!)
(Gap dress, Kate Spade bag, Naot sandals).

5: Finally got around to sewing up the placket of my orange shirtdress, also from Gap, and am wearing it today. I like the look of the sleeves rolled up like this but they kept falling down, so I've given up and am just wearing them long right now. Someone at work commented that my dress was "very bright". LOL.
(Gap dress, Born sandals, Kate Spade bag)
