I've been thinking that since I live in AZ, ankle boots might make more sense than knee high boots. But once I started thinking seriously about ankle boots, I realized my skinny ankles will be just as hard to fit as my skinny calves, bummer. Anyway, after looking around on endless, I spotted these booties, which have a 10" opening. I was curious how big they would look with my 7.5" ankles, if they would come across as too dressy for my everyday wear, and if maybe ankle boots would be a better lifestyle fit than searching for a second pair of knee-high boots.</p> <p>So, here are the booties! I usually wear my boots in a size 7 because I wear socks with them, but I don't have any socks that are low enough to be unseen in these boots - do most people wear ankle boots without socks? How absurd does the space around my ankles look? How much tighter would the ankles need to be for these to look "right"? Do they make my outfit significantly dressier, or do they fit with the same vibe as the outfit I'm actually wearing today?
