What a great post, Ann. I love the outdoor malls in Seattle -- it seems so counter-intuitive, since all we hear about is your horrible weather, but it makes me think you are all hardy people out there in the PNW.
That Triumph tee is fantastic. I'd wear that under my Reiss blazer with skinny jeans and black chelsea boots.

Wow, Ann, those Athleta pants are calling my name!! Darn, they don't ship to Canada, the rascals, but I may have to order them anyway and have them shipped to the border. Love your huggable poncho/ jacket and of course you know I love the winter white sweater.

Great finds! I love that white sweater on you. And yes, Athleta pants have proven to be a workhorse for me! Yeah, I've gotten sucked into Lucky a few times too -- although I've usually managed to purchase tees for my husband there. I need one of those tees with an Indian logo (that's what hubs rides)!

Great report Dashielle. I am seriously thinking about the BR high low sweater. Just not sure what size to order. I ordered a bunch of Gap merino sweaters this year and range from M to XL to get drape right. GAH

Thanks for the tour and review, Ann! I'm really wondering if I need those track pants! They sound awesome. I could wear them on an upcoming trip. I love it--workout gear and dinner attire all in one.
You look beautiful in your outfit with the Eileen Fisher cape.

Love your reporting and all the pieces you found. I think I need to try that BR sweater. I would love a furry cape that attracts hugs...sadly, not available. Keep the reports coming!

You're awesome! I love reading your "research" and buys ;)

Wow those sweat pants look and sound so so great. Ah I wish we had Athleta here in Canada. They won't even ship here without a US credit card so no such luck. I'd love to just pop in to try things on :(

I haven't had a chance to comment on your other thread but I love you in that winter white turtleneck. Am I right in that you picked it up?

Can't wait to see you model your purchases.

You're an amusing writer, Ann. Fun to read, Bike Gal. I LOVE the pieces. The high-low pullover from BR is a top pick. It has a fun woven back, and is a great fit. I adore you in that EF poncho.

Cat hair repelling pieces are quite the find in your house aren't they. xo

I went out on a rainy Sunday to do some "research" (that's it, it's science!) in one of our nicer open-air malls. I like to see what is on offer, provide feedback to you whenever possible and work on one or two of my HEWIs.
Outfit was simple, zip up moto boots, EF poncho and long sleeve white layering tee w/ jeans. I tried another option for shopping, but decided it was too warm. I have this funky, faux fur, cape thingy from Dolce Vita a few years ago that always gets many hug offers, but at the mall, not appropriate. Sorry, no longer available though I found it on Nordstrom site from back when.

#3 Popped into Madewell and I think I found my Winter white sweater (yay!). At BR, I found a fab v-neck, ink, mixed media, high/low pullover sweater with a blousey back to add to my tiny oversized sweater capsule (I have piles of body con, sad face).
#5 Next I bopped into Athleta. Who among us has not loved one of their pieces above all others? I tried on a bunch of white/creamish tops...no dice. On a whim I grabbed some slouchy, floaty track pants to try, and let me tell you, these are the ones to end all! Hear me out. The outer fabric is a silky featherweight stretch poly and they are lined with stretch jersey for warmth. Rib knit waist and ankle cuffs. I can wear them as loungewear at home, as the outer fabric sheds cat hair, or I can go for a run outside and stay warm. I can throw them on with heels and a nice top and go to work or dinner etc. The drawstring is a nice thin ribbon with little metal ends that hang decoratively, but don't add bulk where it's not wanted. Too easy...if you're remotely interested in an all purpose warm pant, I highly recommend them. #6 Last stop, Lucky. I don't normally shop there, but they pulled me in with a Triumph display (sucka!) and I had to have this cute tee. More outfit pics to come featuring the new pieces!
