Think it could work well in adding more interest around your face, but without obscuring your neckline with too much bulk (like a thick scarf would).</p> <p>I'm also going to back up the narrow belt suggestions, albeit for a slightly different reason. I think you may be built slightly similar to me (although I don't know if you are as short as me?) so forgive me if I'm projecting here, but I suspect the issue with the wider belts isn't just a matter of waist definition (as the others have mentioned) but more specifically you not being particularly long waisted. The impression I get with the wider belts is that they almost 'swallow' the vertical area around your waist, leaving more visible 'real estate' to your chest &amp; hips, if that makes sense? This can seem moreso in the case when you're belting bulkier layers over the top of more voluminous bottoms (such as in #5). </p> <p>Hope that doesn't come across as a criticism, by the way - feel free to disregard what I said if you like the way it looks! Think the navy cardigan would be a good wardrobe workhorse for you (especially over a belted outfit). Then an outfit with CM culottes and AllSaints jumper (1&amp;2).&nbsp;</p> <p>I would also welcome your comments on a potential purchase, which is a light cardigan from Kettlewell, 10. I am guessing that the Covid thing will go on for a another few months, so for work, the need to wear a jacket every day is reduced. A slightly more relaxed look is needed.&nbsp;</p> <p>So a longer cardigan might fill a gap. This one is navy, and so will work with my navy 'Up Pants'; divided navy silk skirt and a printed skirt. I am thinking I would wear it with a skinny or a wide belt; very roughly styled in 5, 6, 7, 8. </p> <p>I liked wearing my mohair cardigan in this way, but it was quite hot (9). So I thought this lighter version might work. It would be great background to wearing some light silk scarfs.&nbsp;</p> <p>Your thoughts would be very welcome.&nbsp;</p> <p>I am sorry about the photos.
