Bootcuts and wide legs both look best when they're juuuust off of the ground. I think Angie's PPL rule is 1/4" off the ground, but I actually wear mine sweeping the floor in most cases. With slimmer straight legs you can have the hem up higher, but these don't appear to be quite tapered enough for that. To me the super-pointy is too trendy to feel like "me". And my pants do seem just a smidge short - I didn't measure, but they weren't more than an inch from the ground. I much keep an eye out for ones that I can wear with the 2inch heels! My heels go up naturally and easily into high heels, but lowering my heel is fighting my ankle's construction.
