Thanks everyone! I think one of the best ideas I've learned here at YLF is that sometimes the clothes just don't get you, not the other way around.

@lyn* - I'll let you know how the dress works for me. It doesn't feel cheap like a few other reviewers said. Or atl least not like cheap rayon that I've felt. It's definitely lightweight, but the seams seem pretty sturdy and the very back has a bit of elastic that allow for some give. I think I'll need to work the zipper teeth over with some pencil lead, but that's par for the course.

Your WIW is such a great combination of retro and modern!

And I agree with everyone else. Like the cardigan and the blue dress, the red one less so. Although I do think the top of the red dress really suits you.

Love your outfit today and love the blue dress. As for the mustard cardi, I'm going to be a bit of a spanner and say I'm not sure the color works with your skin tone, but it could be the lighting,

As for the red dress--the pic in combination with your Batman comment is my laugh of the day! Thank you for posting it because it's such a perfect example of how sometimes it's really not you, it's the dress!

Just popped in to say I agree with the popular opinion

Lemme know how that blue dress holds up - I wanted to get it too; but it's rayon so that makes me go :| usually. If it works for you I might get it in ... September.

It seems we're all in agreement! I like the contrast the mustard cardi gives to the dress in #2. And the blue dress in #4 is wonderful on you! Like Suz said, it's elegant with just a touch of sexy.
Aside from the fit issues with the red dress, I just don't think it flatters you. Next!

#1 through #5 - gorgeous. The blue dress? Totally gets you. The red dress? Pack 'er up and ship 'er back - she doesn't get you.

I absolutely love pics 2-5...and that is significant because I don't like yellow. But this way, on you...love.

I have to say I don't love the red and black dress though. It's not just the fit...something about it looks kind of costumey. I think you can do better. And did...in the other outfits!

Thanks Suz and Ceit! That's the one that I was thinking was going to go back. I know I'm still a bit curvy on bottom, but the fabric on the red dress is pretty stretchy, so it's not too forgiving. I think I may need to put a dart or something in part of the blue dress, but I think that will be an easy fix.

First of all, you look absolutely adorable in 1-3. Love the sweaters with that top and skirt.

I also adore the blue dress on you. Elegant yet subtly sexy.

I do not think the red and black dress "gets" you so I would pass on it in favour of the blue. And enjoy!

Today I had to get out the door early, so I went with an outfit that had worked before. I went around for part of the day without the cardigan, but the top covers 90% of my shoulder, so it still works. I forgot my band-aid stick, but thankfully my heel has toughened up a bit.

Pic 1: Cardigan - J.Crew Outlet
Top - Banana Republic
Skirt - Tommy Hilfiger
Shoes - Lucky Brand

The following K/R's are a few Modcloth purchases. I'm on the fence, but I really want to hear some honest opinions about them. So, I'm going to do my best not to say how I feel about them.

Pics 2 and 3 - Honey/Mustard Cardigan. I've been looking for a yellow cardigan and was thinking that maybe a more mustardy yellow would work for me. It feels pretty soft.

Pics 4 and 5 - Blue Dress. I decided to take a chance and try a new silhouette. I like the way the fabric feels, but not so sure about how it looks.

Pics 6 and 7 - Red and Black Dress. Holy shape wear Batman! I wasn't sure if the spare tire I saw was just the mirror or if the dress really wasn't getting me. Several other ladies who reviewed this dress said the same thing.

So, what do think about what should go back or stay?
