The way you've styled it here is great. Flowy over slim is a good way to go I think. You could even do that over long sleeves and/or a dress.

I have a couple of tops similar to that and find they look much better with skinny or straight-legged pants. Hope this helps.

You styled the top really beautifully! Of course wide leg pants (with the top tucked) would work but you can also use straight leg trousers and other skirts as well as jackets in varying colors. If you hide or remove the self tie, you could also team some interesting belts with it.

In addition to skinnies or straight legged pants or jeans, I think this would also be cute with bermudas, following Angie's recent formula.
http://youlookfab.com/2012/06/.....on-the-go/

I'd also love to see it peeking out from under a jacket - either a cropped denim or a blazer or whatever you like.

I like the blouse on you, great fit and great colors. Glad you pulled it out I agree with trying some skinnies or straights first with flats and or boots for fall. Look forward to seeing how you style it, as I too have a lots of tops with pattern and similar silhoutte.

I think wide-leg pants, or at least straight-leg pants, would work best in a softer material than denim. I'm thinking, black, white, grey, any compatible shade of burgundy which is supposed to be the big colour of the coming season. And of course, a white skirt for a more summery look. In a light enough material, you might even get away with a bit of a swish, although that would have to be tested.

You're off to a good start though. Looking very nice. :o)

I love that blouse! Do you have any straight leg or skinny jeans? I think those would look better than wide leg. But if you think it would good with wide leg, try it.

I like the way you styled it. Although I don't know how it would look with wide leg jeans/pants because I tend to think "flowy/looser top, tighter/slimmer bottom". If both items are on looser side, I feel like there is too much volume. I can see this with straight leg pants and some heels/or boots, you also try with jacket over it. This is one of these styles that I have hard time with-I had top simular to that(solid color) and ended up getting rid of it because I just couldn't come up with enough ideas on how to wear it.

Today I wore a print shirt that I really love, but which I often pass over. The pattern is abstract dark navy, red and purple leaves. It ties criss-cross around the back to the front. Even though I paired it with red flats today, I'd love it with a pair of sweet, retro styled red peep toes. Unfortunately I don't have any. More on that search later.

I'd love to hear any and all styling suggestions that might help me bust this out more often. (I've included a couple of pictures that focus on the top.) I'd think this would work with wider leg trousers and will definitely pair it with my dark, wide leg trouser jeans. Other ideas?
