Have you tried the jacket open with another shorter more fitted jacket underneath, or with a cowl neck knit? I think this looks fine and the addition of the jacket at scarf looks great to my eye. So hard to have PTL's (perfect top lengths.) I think the shallow neckline and 3/4 sleeves help the proportions some.<br /> --jacket is probably a tad big for me --bought a year or so ago--but am seeing if it reads "modern boxy" instead of bad fit. Again, the proportions work a bit better with straight skirt than with my trousers, I think, and maybe as a "topper" and not a typical blazer.<br /> --booties I still struggle with as, ideally I would like some that fit closer around the ankle and look more streamlined. Probably will not search this year for any more winter color/style but will see what to do for next fall.</p> <p>Boot question--these are Clark's short boots I've had a couple of years. Toes are slightly squared but somewhat refined shape. Are these looking too dated? (Need polishing!) My new Munro boots are more almond-toed, not pointy at all but not squared, but the very dark brown color of these Clarks is one I like and has been hard to find. </p>
