Smart for work yet fresh and breezy for the heat. We had a 9 day holiday with the 3 adult kids 25,22 and 19 last July in Waikiki and on the Oahu North Shore, also with the older girl's boyfriend from San Francisco. They are doing long distance. As a Kiwi I love beach culture so the mixture of it with fashion in Waikiki suited me! Wow! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-and-ate---hawaii-trip#post-1799412 Tue, 18 Apr 2017 16:21:11 +0000 Sara L. 1799412@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I had to take a very fast, very last-minute trip to Hawaii for work. &nbsp;I've never been to Hawaii before. &nbsp; I left on Sunday, spent Monday in Honolulu in meetings, and flew back on Tuesday. &nbsp;It was a fast trip but I did get a chance to walk down to the beach after work on Monday and I was treated to some fabulous food. &nbsp;Hopefully I'll be back someday for a longer trip.</p> <p>#1 - for the flight out. &nbsp;I wore the exact same thing except my t-shirt was white speckled on the way back.</p> <p>#2 Grey cardigan that can be worn buttoned at the collar or open (Photo #4).<br />&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />#3 - &nbsp;I wore the mustard pants and black and white blouse on Monday at the office. &nbsp;</p> <p>#4 - I brought a white cardigan to wear in case of overzealous AC but forgot it was stained. &nbsp;I left it in the hotel room and wore the grey cardigan I wore on the plane (photo #2). &nbsp;</p> <p>#5 - The engineers I was meeting with took me out to lunch for traditional Hawaiian food. &nbsp;They ordered for me and it was so much food! &nbsp;So good though - I even liked the poi (purple goopy stuff in the bowl). &nbsp;I had laulau, lomi salmon, chicken long rice, and kalua pig (not pictured), purple sweet potatoes, potato mac salad, and some sort of coconut dessert.</p> <p>#6 - Then they took me to get shaved ice for an afternoon snack. &nbsp;This was also ordered for me and was vanilla and strawberry shaved ice with azuki beans and mochi balls.</p> <p>#7 - Giant bowl of ramen I bought for dinner from a stand by the beach. &nbsp;</p> <p>Thanks for looking! </p>
