Love #2, I'm into simple things right now. The pants look great to me, they don't look too big but if you are constantly tugging at them, I know how frustrating that can be (a common problem I have, but am unwilling to do anything about).

Carla, they are great sandals, aren't they? I thought they are done in because I worn out the tips pretty badly but my cobbler was able to repair them so I will have at least another season out of them.

Gaylene - yes, the struggles of "athletic" calves in skinny pants...:-(
Carole- exactly, these Editor pants are more fluid on me than slim. On the other hand it may be not such a bad thing for summer...
Olivegreen, interesting remark about the plaid and swirls melding with my coloring...especially as swirly top is high contrast and the plaid is low...
Marianna, DEB, Daria, texstyle, donnat, Sara L, Rachy - thank you!
Janet, I need to talk to my Mom to see if the jeans can be altered a bit. I still love the pattern and colors so it is worth a try.
Windchime, you and me both need to go through a crash-course of cropped pants styling. As tall gals it would be such a liberation if we do not need to search for PPL in the full length pants all the time, right?
Beth Ann - of course I had to go and use mu blow dryer on that swirly top to follow your tip:-0 As I suspected - not very breathable :-((( but it is a nice trick to have for the future. Thanks!
abc, it is just one maple tree in my backyard which gives all that greenery. Actually it is in my neighbor's backyard but it is huge and a half of it in on our side - which I love! (except when we need to rake the leaves in the fall LOL)
Suz, I won't be able to wear poly tops in summer if not for AC office so it works. I usually do not buy summer tops in poly but I was so smitten with the style and pattern that I overlooked it..oh well! I wonder if I can use it for social dances if halls have AC - the practice is in the school's gym which does not have much ventilation.
As for the lace top - I also plan to wear it casually with shorts on weekends. Why not? Who said that casual cannot be pretty?
Angie, I am glad the length of the cropped pants in #3 did not give you a heart attack - or is it why you needed to recover?

Sveta, these are amazing outfits! Love them all, and I think you are doing brilliantly with the slim trousers. Nodding along with Janet -- might be worth having your mother do a nip to the waist of the Kuts if they are bothering you. They do stretch out a fair bit, I found.

I love the fluid swirly top in #1 -- such a beautiful pattern on you! What a shame about the poly. I find it quite frustrating. As Beth Ann says, the quality can vary. But I find for tops at least I have had to give up on it almost 100%. I might choose a winter top in poly or a poly blend, but otherwise, never. If I worked in AC it might be different.

#2 is just gorgeous on you -- the blue is so flattering. Love the unusual pattern mix of the bag with the pants.

And #3 is just stunning beyond belief! Wow! I did not order that lace top, thinking I did not have enough occasions to wear it, but now I am wishing that I had done so...sigh...

Pants in that outfit look good to me in the pic!

Sveta: I hear you on the poly/breathability issue! I have found a huge variability in poly fibers --- some work out much better than others. It's the slick/slimy texture that seems to fare most poorly. I did read somewhere that blowing through the fabric would give some indication of how well it would breathe (it's ideal to feel the breath move through). Of course, I find silk to be very uncomfortable to wear. It feels good on the skin, but makes me quite hot, even when it's thin and, well, silky.

You look terrific in ankle pants -- your legs are beautifully long, and your footwear it modern and attractive -- and I know you work hard on that!

You have such good ideas for varying your "uniform" that no one would ever think of it as a uniform--a formula, perhaps, although I think your outfits are too varied and interesting to be formulaic.

I LOVE the first outfit and would totally wear the whole thing. The shirt is smashing on you.

I, too, am trying to figure out the ideal length of ankle pants--I see people wearing them with several inches of variation--so will be watching to see what others say. They look good to my eye, and I like your oxfords with the outfit. I wasn't sure about that shirt when someone first posted it on YLF, but it looks amazing on you!

This is as close as I come to what feels like a uniform dressing. Ankle length pants, fluid top and a topper for structure...I need to wear a skirt tomorrow just to break a monotony! :-)

pic 1
I have not worn these drapey pants from BR very often yet so I wanted to wear them again before weather turns too hot. I got this swirly fluid top at Winners last year and like it a lot. I only wish both pants and top were not poly but more breathable fabric WITHOUT A CLING! I especially wished for that in the evening during the dance practice: even without a jacket it was too hot!

pic 2
Hot and humid day so no topper. This BR shirt is so nice on the skin - a real pleasure to wear in the heat. Unfortunately these plaid KUT jeans are a bit too big in the top part so they tend to slide down without a belt: I wish I bought size 10 last year and not 12! :-(

pic 3-4
This outfit is almost all from this season buys except the bag and shoes. This is not very usual to me but sometimes it happens! I have posted about this BR lace top before and this is its first outing! Love it although I was a bit cold in it at work with the blasting AC: next time I need to layer a sleeved topper for work.
These black Express Editor cropped pants are new too: I got them a couple of weeks ago before the business trip when I realized that my warm weather business casual capsule is seriously lacking in bottoms department. I think they are a bit too loose in the upper leg part for slim pants but at least they fit in the calves. This is my usual struggle with slim pants - calf fit! I also turned up the hems a bit to shorten them to what I think is more flattering length. What do you think? Are they JFE or not even that? I am still trying to get my head around the whole cropped pant thing...

Thank you so much for looking and as usual all suggestions and comments are very much appreciated!
