2 and 3 I really like. The white jacket looks a bit big - interested in what alterations will do to help this. With these bottoms it should be a bit more tailored. otherwise slimmer bottoms?

Thanks ladies! My sister is an excellent seamstress and is coming to town for a visit Sunday. I think ill ask her to help teach me and maybe use the white jacket sleeves as a learning project.

I am truly amazed at the positive feedback on #3. I shouldnt be surprised that Beth Ann is on to something here. I just looked at all my blazers on hangers abd this on is about 1.5" shorter than the rest. And yes... Thanks Tina b It does seem a very "me" outfit which is probably why i am so interested in troubleshooting it. Maybe it is just my eye needs to adjust here as well. Hoping to have a bit of time to play with this tomorrow

What a fun idea to retry your white jacket. It's a lovely piece. I agree that the arms look as if they need alteration. However, if the cost of alteration would be too high, it's probably not worth it, given the fuss factor. So maybe you can scrunch them up?

Love the colours in #2.

And I am sorry that #3 is not comfy because it looks fab!

I think the length and proportions of #2 work well -- I wonder if you're eye just hasn't adjusted to the longer skirt length? As for #3, I feel like the jacket could be just a little longer -- the rise seems fine to me as it appears in the photo. #3 is wonderful, but you have to feel good!

Sarah, your all white outfit looks just stunning. It is such a bold look but you wear it with confidence. The belt is the perfect accent and creates great shape definition. I agree with narrowing the arms if that is a possibility while you make your other adjustments. Outfit #3 is probably my favourite, very you if that makes sense (and that is my highest compliment). All the pieces come together just beautifully!

I think all these outfits look great! I know you weren't happy with #2 but other than having cold legs, the outfit looks great. I don't see any problems with #3 and the jacket/jeans combo either.

Thanks Sarah, good eye! I hadnt noticed how large they were, I definitely might consider. I am going to see if I actually wear it more first I think (this is the third time in nearly 5 years so..... )

I like all of these! I might try the all-white outfit with a nude or blush cami if you have one, just out of experimental curiousity really. I like the purple shirt peaking out from under the argyle redux sweater, I'm always a fan of purple and green and this is a slightly toned down way to pair the colours. I think flats can be tricky with skirts, but the proportions here look fine to me, your legs don't seem shortened.

I love #3!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sleeves look a bit big on the white jacket - would it be worth it to you to get them taken in?

The green/plum combo in #2 is so pretty.

Happy Friday YLF!

Yesterday I wore this all white combo inspired by Angie's post and felt great and rec'd many compliments. It was definitely the winner of the latter part of this week. The jacket came out of the holding zone, and I now recall why it was there. Nothing stays put! I am going to try to move a button and stitch on a few hook and eye dress closures strategically placed and see if I can remedy. Safety pins did the trick yesterday so I am confident I have a solution.

Today I ran out the door in this with no coat to 32 degrees F and rain. Ooppps! This is what happens when you oversleep. I have on suede like lizard print shoes, not water friendly. I have no hose. I think the skirt isnt a good hem length for the shoes. I wore the skirt because I have recently discovered the purple shirt isnt long enough for pants. I am not actually unhappy with the outfit but will be spending my time indoors! :)

I tried a few of your suggestions to improve this jacket and boot cut combo. I think I have come to the conclusion that the rise/hip fit on these jeans I dont like tucking into. The belt is wider but because the buckle is open the visual weight isnt there but the pants are higher rise so my two fav belts for jeans are too long even on the smallest hole. I think I will try a tucked out blouse next or maybe abandon pairing these jeans with this jacket.... although it has become a little challenge to me to solve this problem now.

Thanks for looking! Your feedback and suggestions are always appreciated.
