This included taking a bunch of stuff to the seamstress to be altered or repaired. I knew I'd be getting back in from running errands with little time to change for a casual dinner out with some friends.</p> <p>So I decided the outfit had to work for both purposes with minimal changing required before heading out to dinner.</p> <p>I recently scored this very cool colored blue-gray&nbsp;AllSaints Tide Biker leather jacket on ebay for a song. I actually scored it and an identical one in ivory from the same seller, both new with tags&nbsp;still attached.&nbsp;<b>Each</b>&nbsp;jacket was originally $688. I bought them <b>both</b> (including shipping!) for $240 (and yes, I did a lil Snoopy dance over that. I was <i>that</i> excited).</p> <p>Snoopy dance was required because this is my favorite style of moto jacket. Because it is a cropped length that hits around my true waist AND it has cropped length sleeves --so the sleeves aren't overly long and they show off bracelets really well or I can let longer sleeve sweaters and shirts peek out from underneath.</p> <p>I just loooooove the color of this jacket (I was a bit&nbsp;worried the photos weren't showing the color accurately&nbsp;and it would end up being greenish-gray undertones on it (which wash me out and don't look good on me)&nbsp;so I was thrilled to discover the&nbsp;shade is a wonderful blue-gray color that is actually the same color as my eyes (the color on the tag said "sky blue" --I'd call it more of a stormy sky color, personally).</p> <p>For daytime, I left off all jewelry and went with the quick to put on/take off Beetle sneakers&nbsp;because I knew I'd be disrobing repeatedly at the seamstress and wanted to be able to do so easily.</p> <p>For the dinner out all I did was stand up the collar on the jacket and&nbsp;switch to a pair of high platform boots in a warm caramel orange shade (to add to the complementary color scheme of the orange/rust skinny pants against the blue/gray. Added a scarf and some jewelry and I was ready to go in less than 10 minutes.&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm also wearing another super ebay score in this outfit. The ring is a vintage 1960's&nbsp;&nbsp;signed modernist sterling ring with what's called a "mexican fire opal in matrix." Meaning it's the actual stone the opals are hewn from. So those white and slightly colored flecks in the photo are opals and the warm brown is the stone they naturally reside in. </p> <p>Seller listed this ring as "sz 4&nbsp;old sterling ring with brown stone." Ummm, yeah. I actually paid MORE for the shipping on this ring than the cost of the ring itself: Shipping cost $3. Ring cost $2.67 (this guy starts all his auctions at &nbsp;99 cents). These are the days I love having a size 4 ring finger and sellers who have no idea what they are selling :-)</p> <p>(Sorry for diverging on my WIW post to prattle on&nbsp;about ebay finds. I just get very excited by a bargain when it's stuff I really seek out and love!)</p> <p>So what do you guys think of my day/night transition outfit?
