This morning's ensemble post have me the push to actually do it.<br /> The interesting thing is that neither of these three colors is very good on me, they are all too warm for my Summer color type. Since I like them all, I try to find a way around it. For cognac, I stick to accessories. Olive is probably the best next to my face out if all the three, and I tend to look for cooler olive versions. Citron I can sort-of pull off if it is more lemon than chartreuse and if I add a scarf.<br /> It turned out that I had all the pieces in my closet for the first version of the ensemble, with blue jeans. I went for tall cognac boots because it is too cold for my cognac booties, which are cutout and perforated. And I found the perfect silk scarf in my closet too- mainly olive and chartreuse with a touch if much more flattering turquoise which hopefully makes it wearable next to my face. It was a present, as I would never buy those colors for a scarf myself.<br /> In the end, the outfit turned out very close to the one Angie showed on the blog. It consists of olive military BR sweater jacket over citron-ish Gap sweater and faded AG jeans. I added cognac accessories: belt, bag and tall boots; then the patterned silk scarf and silver watch. For the outside I topped it with black puffer, and black hat and gloves- need some black to ground all these colors.<br /> I like the outfit on its own, but I am not sure if the colors are JFE next to my face. I am also not sure about the metal mix: all the three cognac accessories have brassy/ gold hardware while the buttons on the sweater jacket and watch are in the silver family. I guess I am going to see how I feel in this throughout the day. If anything, at least I tried something new. </p>
