I like all but #4 (I feel like those colors do nothing for you) and all the rest with the jackets, it looks more polished to my eye - fantastic job!

Thank you, Angie! I have been growing my hair out for several months. It hasn't been this long since high school! I hear you on the pants in #4. I've purged most of my pants in the past few months and I am slowly adding back ones that properly fit. There are several that I'm making do with in the meantime. I just bought 4 new ones from express during a big sale (and only one pair were black!).

How great to see your pretty face!

#1 and #2 work really well - both with and without the toppers. I love you in those white jeans! Great looks :)

I prefer #3 with the third layer, and in #4 the trousers are a little ill-fitting. Baggy in the wrong places if that makes sense.

#5 I like best without the extra layer!

You have gorgeous glossy black hair, Kathy

I actually like #1 and #2 without the jacket, of course they may not look so professional (depending on your work place) but are beautiful outfits.
#4 &#5 are great outfits also.

Makrame and JR, I agree about the toppers. They really do make a difference with my sleeveless blouses. I think I have shied away from sleeveless blouses for work for this reason. They are so good for our long summers but having to wear a topper sort of defeats the purpose.

JR, I guess I have a lot of "vintage" jewelry them

And my favourite are #2 (really loved that) and #4. Such a gorgeous shade of blue and wonderful earrings. Earrings never get old, by the way, they become vintage and then antiques. ;o)

#1 is the only one I liked better without the topper. In every other case, adding the jacket or cardigan really made the outfit better.

My favorites are #1, 4, and 5.

It's interesting to me how a lot of sleeveless tops really work best with a topper (for example, the volume of the bubble-hem blouse in #5 is tamed in by the cardigan to create perfect proportions). I find the same is true for my sleeveless tops, which sometimes makes it a struggle to figure out how to wear them on warmer days. But works great for transitional weather!

Gorgeous earrings in #4!

There were definitely more misses than hits this week, but I included them all in the spirit of full disclosure. It was a nice challenge because it made me pull out some of tops that have been left unworn this summer.

1. Gap Bootcut white jeans, Ann Taylor blouse, Gap blazer.
This was a fun departure for me. White jeans and a blazer are not typical work wear for me. I got to wear my blazer for the first time since I got it back from the tailor. I used a lady right across the street from my office and she did a great job. She only charged me $20 while Nordstrom had asked for $50. I think she may have given me a small discount because she was smitten with my 2 yr old. LOL. I'll take what I can get!

2. Loft skirt, Ann Taylor silk blouse, Gap blazer
I ended up swapping out the blazer for a cardigan, and didn't snap a picture. This silk blouse has been unworn for years because I felt it was too "fancy" for work. Silk material, gold color. I decided to give it a whirl anyway, and felt pretty good with it. Tried it untucked and belted for a different silhouette. I'm a novice at belting, so just trying something different.

3. Express pants, Ann Taylor blouse, NY and Co topper
Total outfit failure!! The blouse went into the purge pile. The V neck is too low cut, should have worn it with a cami, plus there is a tie in the back that hurt when I sat back. I wasn't in love with the colors here either. I had on a black and brown blouse but felt the colors were too drab, so changed it out for the green blouse. Should have kept the first one on :(

4. NY and Co pants, Halogen blouse, NY and Co topper
The earrings are super old, and I always get compliments when I wear them. The only problem with the blouse is that the inner layer tends to slip down and I inadvertently flash people! I was constantly tugging on it to make sure I was fully covered. Any suggestions for fixing that apart from fashion tape?

5. Express pants, Loft blouse, NY and Co cardigan
This is my favorite outfit from the week. This is a bubble hem blouse, and I decided to tuck it in so that it was less voluminous. It felt easy and less fussy than the previous days.

Any suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking!
