I'm floored by your dressy/rural comment as I often think you look urban casual chic *in* your rural setting...which translates as much dressier and more sophisticated than me in my bridesmaids-shiny blouse. Main ingredients: getting-up-there-in-years slim white bottoms + my inexplicably beloved*, voluminous <a rel="nofollow" href="http://buildingacolorfullife.wordpress.com/2012/04/25/periwinkle-silk-goes-goddess-y-blouse/">Periwinkle Silk Goes Goddess-y blouse</a> (worn knotted vs sashed, in a few of its many possible front/back variations). Both: White cotton tank underlayer + last summer's DIY'd platinum wedge sandals  +  hat (and yep, I wear it for commuting) Photo #1, for Play: White Denim cutoffs rolled up to hide Sharpie mark from my "alterations" + blouse worn in split shoulder variation Photo #2, for Work: White textured pencil skirt + blouse reversed with existing knot left as-is, and neck opening tied in back (I admit I've tied this better in the past!)
